the most annoying thing about the "trans people are all easily triggered" propaganda is that even ostensible allies think they have to walk on egg shells around us despite basically every trans person i know having incredibly thick skin. like relax it's fine just be normal it's seriously nbd

In light of everything happening, I wrote about how the KKK in the 1920s felt unstoppable, about the people that fought against them anyway, and about how fascism always fails. dansinker.com/posts/202…

I stand by this!

This is really smart by @sanders.senate.gov Go to republican districts and push voters to pressure their republican reps. www.commondreams.org/news/bernie-...

Whatever darkness you're facing, you can handle it. 💪 #tunic

Google, Microsoft, and Meta's increasing use of data centers has resulted in increased air pollution from extensive fossil fuel energy consumption and associated public health costs related to treating cancers, asthma, and other similar issues, valued at over $5.4 billion in the past five years.

I am at a loss for trying to figure out what happened here, as in what point was he attempting to make here, about who or even what.

Okay, you KNOW there's a something wrong when ever Technology Connections does a 'Hey, there's a problem and it's you, please fix it' video. I know it can be hard, but please filter out as much algorithmic and AI-generated stuff from your consumption as possible and go SEARCHING for stuff you want.

I'm thinking once again about this video, less than a day later, and it's really really worrying to me how powerful the algos are and how eager people are to adopt them out of convenience across the board.

final of this guy is now up on patreon for offers!

On the one hand, this "I'm powerless!" answer from multiple congressional Republicans is pure garbage. On the other hand, it's sure not "Trump/Musk are doing a great job!" Which (1) tells you what they're hearing, and (2) will tend to further hurt Trump's popularity.

A cautionary tale about AI and why it should not be trusted 100%. Consider these two prompts where I asked it about Star Trek: The Next Generation: A Final Unity.

These are brown shirts, and this is Nazi behavior. We are not in a fight between right and left anymore. This is a fight between Americans and those who would bend the knee to a king. If you care about the soul of this country, we have to stand for each other.

If you want to see how AI is used to manipulate people, see the instructions Musk gave to his LLM "Grok." -It's provided a pre-made list of sources -Told to hide that list and any citations it finds -Ignores all misinformation references to Musk/Trump

Alaska voters 👇🏻 Senate amendment reinstating terminated DOI and Forest Service employees was narrowly voted down. Of note, Murkowski voted yea, Sullivan voted Nay. If you feel some type of way about it, let them know!"

5 years ago tonight. Joke was on us, Boomers burnt it down.

Ah. That is not the painbrush. Sketch for @modestyjorts.bsky.social!

Quite a moment when top military commanders are reacting to Elon's latest manic weekend email outburst as though it's a provocation from a rival state power

“If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.” A classic quote from Malcolm X, who was assassinated 60 years ago today.

He nails it.

I went to the auto show tonight. Overall, I'm not highly impressed with many of the latest models. Overemphasis on bells and whistles, and the maintenace nightmare. No wonder older used cars are becoming high in demand.

coming this holiday season

Coming around to the view that a certain kind of narcissist simply needs Musk to be a genius rather than a fraud, because they want to believe there’s a hereditary Brahmin class of accomplished, beautiful minds—and that they’re a part of that class.

I once worked on a visual novel game where all the surveys and focus groups said that nobody wanted romance, they only wanted mystery and sci-fi. Then 75+% of clicks in-game went to stories with explicit romantic or sexy themes. www.pcgamer.com/gaming-indus...

Surely this new video won't make me seem like a crank. www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEJp...

If people were really just dying from chronic diseases then how come they weren’t dying from their chronic diseases until after March, 2020?

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Chris Geidner at Law Dork nails it: "The mere fact of litigating can change implementation of policy to improve its application to those affected.... Failing to challenge illegal & unconstitutional actions means that Trump & his team will go forward & do more. That is not an option." ⚖️

So true. I've had 3 transgender operations this week.

trans women will be raped to death. they know this will happen. this is a crucial part of the steps to our genocide.

“This is someone who made his money by ripping off American taxpayers and who shouldn’t come anywhere near a position of authority over tax dollars,” said Sen. Ron Wyden about Schuler’s appointment. “He’ll fit right in with the Trump administration.” By @peterelkind.bsky.social

I’m working on a T-shirt design, as my tallest and strongest little brother @zucchinimgun.bsky.social has promised to wear one to the local gun range where he shows off how good he is at guns. Which version is best?

This video absolutely nails it. The internet is now dominated by people who depend solely on "For You" algorithms to show them stuff. They've totally forgotten how to seek out things.

so this is just officially their thing now
