You’re telling me that right wing voters that Labour was trying to appeal to voted for a right wing party anyway and left wing voters decided not to vote for Labour because they’re too right wing now? Who could have possibly predicted this.

Brexit border delays left the UK's leading berry farmer with no choice but to let 300 tonnes of strawberries bound for Europe rot last summer. "There was a market for them, but we couldn't get the fruit there quickly enough because of paperwork & delays."

Oxfordshire Council Result #LE2025: LDM: 36 (+12) LAB: 12 (-3) CON: 10 (-15) GRN: 7 (+4) INDs/LOCs: 3 (+1) RFM: 1 (+1) Liberal Democrat GAIN from No Overall Control.

Douglas Alexander, "Regrettably the data is devastating in terms of the damage that was done by the way Brexit was implemented by our predecessors" Sigh, every version of Brexit is a barrier between the UK and the EU, and therefor devastating 🤦‍♂️

Farage says Andrew Tate is an ‘important voice’ for men. Tate is awaiting trial for rape, human trafficking and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women. It seems that there is something deeply creepy about Farage that hasn't been made public. Fight Fascism #Vote4Democracy

Ahem

So a $90 button down shirt from Spier & Mackay will now bang you $276.39 after Trump’s tariffs…so much winning!

#IsraeliGenocide

for journalists getting their panties in a twist over Kneecap an art project from NI...a gentle reminder that Israel are bombing innocent people in Damascus and Lebanon now. they are colonialists, with a penchant for genocide & ethnic cleansing. May I suggest saving your "moral outrage" for that?

The Government have made a massive U-turn. Today, the Business and Trade Secretary confirmed to me that, despite Labour’s previous calls for proper scrutiny in Parliament on trade agreements, MPs would not be allowed a vote on any US trade deal.

I held my nose and voted for the Lib Dems to try and throttle the Tories and Reform. For some of you, that will mean holding your nose and voting for Labour. No great options at the moment. What a sad time for us. #localelections

Nigel Farage still insisting that he has "never ever, ever suggested anything other than the NHS should be free". Here's what he's said in the past behind closed doors

If you are voting in the local elections today, do remember there is a free IQ test too. Simply enter the voting booth and if you find yourself voting Reform, you'll know you're a thick twat.

When Tory donor Frank Hester reportedly said Diane Abbott – the longest-serving Black MP – made him “want to hate all black women” and that she “should be shot”, Kemi Badenoch dismissed it as “trivia”. When Kneecap, made a similarly abhorrent past remark she wants them banned. #TwoTierKemi

Brexit. The gift that keeps on taking Brexit's disastrous impact on NHS led to 1,485 extra deaths per year says new academic study Researchers from the Uni of Surrey say after 2016 leave vote, EU nurses left, were replaced by less experienced or skilled staff = had a knock-on effect for patients

Number crunching: Tesco’s predicted reduction in profit v increase in profits during the cost-of-living crisis From the new Private Eye, out now.

On the eve of the #localelections thank you @privateeyenews.bsky.social for absolutely nailing the weapons-grade, rock-solid, brain-melting idiocy of voting for Farage and Reform…

Here's something I wrote trying to explain why Brexit still isn't 'done' and the true implications of leaving the SM/CU. I had help from an expert kind enough to explain things properly to me. It's something I'm hoping to do a lot more with, and hope it's useful. centralbylines.co.uk/news/brexit/...

This and also point tyat many paedos do it the easy way: have children, divorce & get shared custody.

Your kids get a max of two toys and then grow up to work in the same factory as their father and grandfather screwing in tiny screws. It’s called The American Dream.

Left: President Trump saying he didn't take credit for the stock market Right: President Trump taking credit for the stock market

lol even Fox News is pushing back on Trump administration officials about the fact that gas prices are actually UP since Trump's inauguration

Seems pretty accurate to me... 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

These people are even more stupid than you can imagine. An 8yo could work out 22m pills are not going to be taken by 119m people, and even if they were it's unlikely to prove fatal. Is she really so stupid, she believes 40% of the population of the US would have died in 3 months? God help America.

Blue Labour is functionally de-growth in substance - hostile to the few clear avenues to growth that the UK has and tied to the same mercantilist fallacies currently driving economic damage in the US.

Keir Starmer goes Robocop on fly-tippers, yet it’s legal for private water companies to continue dumping sewage into 83% of England’s rivers and coastlines. theguardian.com/environment/20….

Another superb piece by Marina Hyde. If you're no great fan of Trump, you'll enjoy it... www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Two former Wells Fargo executives were fined $8.5M by the Biden administration for covering up the bank's infamous fake account scandal. Trump just slashed those fines to a paltry $150,000 after Wells Fargo gave $1M to his inauguration. See how this works?

Trump ‘makes trade deal with UK second-order priority’ in blow to ministers. When will Starmer stop injecting the Brexit drug and grasp that Europe is our friend, not Trump's fascist America? A big vote for the LibDems and Greens should help him detox. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

"On the doorstep people don’t make a distinction between graduate visas & small boats" This is: a) objectively wrong (plenty of polling evidence) b) suggests utter contempt for electorate's thought processes c) is a dreadful way to make policy Otherwise fine www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

“Far from simply being a beneficiary of short-term frustrations, Reform is capitalising on years of deep-rooted anger… about what millions of people see as the long slide of national decline” Decline that Farage helped cause. Anger that’s made him a fortune. liveapp.inews.co.uk/category/366...

It might also have been the farts.

This one triggered a lot of folks when I first posted it 2 months ago. Let’s see if anything has changed since, if anything, it’s become more accurate with time.

Nigel Farage is more interested in promoting Donald Trump than fixing the issues facing our communities, and the Conservatives have turned their back on ordinary people to chase Farage’s tail. This election is your chance to elect a strong, local champion, who will fight for a fair deal.

Mark Carney is asked how the lessons of Brexit apply to Trump's tariff policy. "When you break off or substantially rupture trade relations with major trading partners... you end up with slower growth, higher inflation, higher interest rates, volatility, a lower currency, a weaker economy." ~AA

We now have the American gestapo. 😡

"Three to four times as many Labour voters... in the Midlands and northern England are being tempted by the Lib Dems as those classed as Reform-curious... The party’s left flank is seething with discontent but gets less attention as MPs and apparatchiks obsess over Farage" www.ft.com/content/deb2...

This is entirely right. Leavers got what they wanted because they backed up their opinions with votes. We Rejoiners have to do the same or Starmer will quite reasonably ignore us.
