Looking forwards to great nights of music with Chris Forsyth through the US in April ✨📣

Pleased to note that I’ll be playing solo supporting @gruffrhys.bsky.social on 10 coast-to-coast US shows in April. Hope to see you out there! Tour hits NYC/Philly/DC/Toronto/Ann Arbor/Chicago/LA/SF/PDX/Seattle.

BASIC tour is 2 weeks away. First date: Richmond Music Hall 3/11 w Bark Culture & Gardener. Bark Culture joins us for the first 6 shows.

BASIC tour starts in two weeks. More announcements coming soon!

Bringing the un controversial heat: @questlove.bsky.social ‘s Sly doc is killer!

I’ve taken, slightly modified and repurposed many riffs as my own. In the song The Ballad of Freer Hollow from my 2014 record Intensity Ghost, I lifted riffs from both Mission Of Burma’s All World Cowboy Romance and the Go-Go’s Our Lips Are Sealed. Are these apparent swipes or did I get away w it?

It's wild when you try to re-learn a song you wrote maybe 10-15 years ago and....you cannot figure it out LOL.

the sound of an amplified guitar, played live in a room, a room you are standing in? it’s pretty nice

Everybody: if - like us - yr Alone, yr Rockin’, and you Know This Is Nowhere, come to National Sokols out in Bethlehem PA on Sat 3/8 when Coca Leaves & Pearls provides our reverent but not imitative guided tour of the Ditch. Will be so much fun that if you can remember any of it you won’t forget it.

are you in richmond? i have been working on new music and will play some of it 3/11 with basic

People on the side of the street throwing full beers to Dallas Goedert who’s on top of the bus and urging them on. He throws a few back but most smash into the side of the bus or the street and explode.

Someone blasting Devo at the Eagles parade. Go Birds!

I, like my 2/13 birthday bro Henry, am not a fan of Bongo, but I did enjoy his scatting in the Eno film.

Can you name songs prior to Sweet Jane that use that I V IV vi V progression?

Didn't go into Center City last night for the revelry but best anecdote I heard from @ill-iterate.com was a cop walks up to a guy with a beer saying "hey you better bag that up" and the guy with the beer glared at the cop & said "what did you just say?" like he'd insulted his mom. Cop kept walking.

i am happy the eagles won but i feel even more pride for philly after that person in NOLA’s video saying that chiefs fans are “shitty ass motherfucking tippers” and eagles fans are not :) go birds

Lordy, lordy look who turned forty-eight today. Television's Marquee Moon.

Sorry for the inventory hiccup folks, FACS “Wish Defense”. LPs are BACK IN STOCK on our Bandcamp page! wearefacs.bandcamp.com/album/wish-d...

Bandcamp (remember? It’s still there and still the best music platform option) is donating their proceeds to LA Wildfire Relief efforts today. Some great comps here, including Super Bloom, to which BASIC contributed a live take of an unreleased song: daily.bandcamp.com/features/a-l...

BASIC contour in March: Richmond, Carrboro, Charlotte, Asheville, Atlanta, Knoxville, Nashville, Rochester, Toronto. Bark Culture joins us for the 1st 6 gigs, also happy to share the stage w Gardener, Golomb, Jungle Boogie, and Matthew “Doc” Dunn.

Just noting that if you look at Neil Young songs alphabetically, Everybody’s Alone is followed immediately by Everybody’s Rockin’. So, to recap, we’re all alone, also we’re all rockin’.
