Following positive press releases on an unfinished study into air cleaners reducing sickness in nurseries, other centres invested in filters but found no effect. Due to other practical problems eg noise, the trial was ended early. Article in next post 1/2

Whilst improved air quality in cities is welcome, despite this Guardian article saying the Clean Air Zones has saved the NHS money, it's worth reflecting that the study authors are less certain about their findings. *May* could be doing some heavy lifting www.theguardian.com/environment/... 1/3

I'm trying to comprehend the data in this study...what is the CO2...as I read the methodology again, it seems it is based on a single reading undertaken in at least 4 classes per school to assess the ventilation. This is then compared to COVID rates over several months??

New study from 2020-21 comparing CO2 conc in Montreal classrooms and COVID incidences finds higher CO2 = less COVID, but if outliers removed, find no correlation. COVID incidence in schools correlated with community incidence. There's some methodological limitations. a 🧵 1/n

#TBT a study showing that it is possible to dilute a solution of antibodies to such an extent (10^120) that the prob of active antibodies left ≈ 0, yet it still initiated a basophil response similar to encountering undiluted. is the result caused by: 1. Water Memory 2. Methodological error
