I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

Using the very real problem of rising campus antisemitism as a pretext to ignore the Constitution and defund higher education is abhorrent and indefensible. And it will only make Jewish students less safe.

You’d think that a president who claims to be revoking visas to stop political violence and stand up against antisemitism would have something to say when one of the most high profile Jewish elected officials in America is the target of an arson attack in his home on the first night of Passover.
