This. This. This.

Stupidly excited about this tonight… saw Bowie live at Milton Keynes for the Serious Moonlight tour, and again in ‘95 at Wembley, still love pretty much everything he did up to Let’s Dance (esp Hunky Dory, Diamond Dogs, Young Americans & Scary Monsters) #bowie #mildmayclub

BBC 6 Music have upped their music mix game this Christmas. Many really excellent episodes of The Morning After Mix available now, curated by Flying Lotus, Big Thief, Clairo, Leon Bridges and Charli xcx www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/brand...

BBC Sounds just launched on Android Automotive. This is our first "built into the dashboard" (not tethered to your phone) product. Limited roll out (new BMW and Mini) initially, more to come in the future www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/... #bbcsounds

1/ Yesterday I spoke at UCL about the transformational benefits of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods. This is what LTNs do: * Halve road injuries. * Eliminate rat-running. * Reduce pollution, even at boundaries. * Reduce street crime. And here's the evidence...👇 www.ucl.ac.uk/bartlett/pla...

All this moaning from the car industry about weak demand for EVs making the 2030 target hard. Here’s a simple win-win for the environment and car makers: immediately remove the 5p fuel duty cut, and confirm that fuel duty will rise every year by above inflation. That’s the consumer incentive sorted.

Yet another massive crash on Lordship Park N16 this week due to ridiculous driving, in what is meant to be a 20mph zone. Luckily no pedestrians hurt. Apparently TFL won’t install speed cameras because there haven’t been sufficient deaths on the road. Seriously.. #tfl @hackneycouncil.bsky.social

Just fyi, using voice via an Echo/Alexa speaker, you can rewind BBC radio up to 6 hours. E.g. “Alexa, ask BBC Sounds to rewind to 7am”. On our mobile apps and web the rewind window is limited to the start of the current live programme, so in most cases much less than 6 hours #bbcsounds

Listen live to Starmer being interviewed on BBC local stations www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

A few months ago we launched a new 24/7 Live News audio stream curated on BBC Sounds from across multiple BBC outlets, radio, tv, online. The more crazy things become in the world, the more value we delivered. Very proud of this work www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/sched...

Less than 2 years to the American midterm elections, after which, assuming Trump hasn’t changed the constitution, he’ll be a lame duck as the Republican Party focus on who the next leader will be. Silver linings etc

If, like me, you’re a little obsessed with excess packaging, single-use plastic and recycling, then I can recommend this new UK focussed podcast. It’s fairly new, so plenty of room for further development, but it’s definitely not rubbish, unlike its subject matter www.talkingrubbishpodcast.com

This is the best audio analysis of the Budget I’ve heard (& I don’t mean instant reaction). Comprehensive and serious, from economic experts. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...
