Devin Williams went directly to Steinbrenner and Cashman unhappy with the Yankees' facial hair policy. “It’s not my preference,” he said. Williams also said if the policy remained, it would have been something he considered in free agency. More 🔽 www.nytimes.com/athletic/615...

Aaron Boone said Chase Hampton underwent Tommy John surgery today. Brutal blow for the Yankees’ No. 2 pitching prospect.

Happy Tuesday evening. There's a new episode of the pod up. Go listen! www.patreon.com/posts/episod... @pamsson.bsky.social and @chriskirschner.bsky.social touch on something I've talked about before: the Yankees' stubborn organizational arrogance that seems to come through at times. Enjoy!

Should the Yankees trade for Luis Arraez? Some pros: They can swerve bend that corner away from internal options, clear leadoff option, better OBP Cons: Bad defense, bad baserunner, would go away from improving team defense. More below: www.nytimes.com/athletic/604...

E60 of @viewsfrom314ft.com is out! @pamsson.bsky.social and I discuss the Yankees' interest in Luis Arraez and Gavin Lux. We break down the pros and cons of each player, decide who would be the better fit and important context in discussing either option. Join us ⬇️ www.patreon.com/posts/episod...

A new episode of @viewsfrom314ft.com t is out now. @pamsson.bsky.social and I discuss the Paul Goldschmidt signing, look critically at the Yankees' lineup and then get into the Nolan Arenado rumors and if he's set to be the next Yankee. Join us below ⬇️ www.patreon.com/posts/episod...

Part 2 of my Yankees mailbag: Would a Nolan Arenado trade make sense? Could Luis Arraez be a fit at second base? Stroman’s and DJ’s future, Jasson Dominguez’s outlook and much more below ⬇️ www.nytimes.com/athletic/600...

The Yankees had the WORST OPS at first base this season. Even if Goldschmidt is league average (or even slightly below league average!), that would be better than what the Yankees received at first base in 2024.

The Yankees have signed former NL MVP Paul Goldschmidt to a one-year deal. He had a down year in 2024 but he could potentially be a bounceback candidate in 2025. More below on the move and what it means for the Yankees: www.nytimes.com/athletic/601...
