By abandoning a promise made by the US before he became President, DonaldTrump will have blood on his hands. Ukrainians will die as a result of his unilateral decision.

An appalling example of American AI in action. Over to you, conspiracy theorists.

We've reached a point where citizens in Europe need to step up in support of Ukraine - through the sacrifice of personal taxation at least.

I am beyond appalled. Even if Zelensky was out of order - which is questionable - you have to respect his position as the leader of a nation which has been the victim of an unprovoked attack by a more powerful neighbour.

Question: Why have European nations/the EU not been negotiating with Ukraine to share in its rare metals?

Macron is so assertive and confident. We need to see more of this. Next up, Starmer.

i wondered why they left the women out of this picture! Perhaps they were all sitting at the other end of the table?

The organic market gardeners, Langtons Farm in Crickhowell, have shown it's possible to grow veg locally for schools. Others need to be encouraged to follow their example.

Thank you to Credu in Welshpool for hosting my first meeting of the Carers Trust Wales Advisory Board. And I'm not just talking about the amazing lunch. The stories told by the carers present were both inspiring and humbling.

Train platforms are great for getting your steps in. Yet most passengers seem to prefer to stand still, scrolling aimlessly through their phone or staring bored into the middle distance.

Competition time. What's wrong with this picture? (It hangs on the wall to inspire greater athleticism in my pilates class)

A quick Comms job. Take a 10 min coffee and fill in the Public Sector Comms Survey 2025. The biggest survey of the sector. For those in council, police, fire, NHS trust, ICB or RSL comms. Nearly 100 replies in. Let’s beat 250. www.surveymonkey.com/r/PSC2025Blu...

Whenever you hear someone sneer about scientific research that seems useless to them — “they’re studying the spit of lizards?!” — remind them that’s exactly how we got Ozempic. globalnews.ca/news/9793403...

Jenny Randerson's send-off was beautifully arranged, capturing a wonderful mix of the personal with her public service. I've come away feeling privileged to have worked with her and honoured to have attended.

This passes for serious news and debate. www.bbc.com/news/article...

By any chance, do you think it could be Black Friday today?

People are willing to walk a lot farther when you make it a pleasant walk.

For all those watching the effects of terrible flooding, this is why climate change is the biggest issue facing us all, bigger even than the cost of living or NHS.

A good listen, giving a good understanding of the pressures of being a minister. I'd have been interested to hear more about the driven nature of some politicians actively seeking an advantage to working that bit harder than others.

We missed out on our local fireworks display - it sold out - so we drove up the Blorenge mountain to see the show from above. This was what we saw.

A journey down memory lane. (I'm fine)

Every breath and twitch of Ian McKellen's monster of a character outshines what is an excellent cast in the beautifully set, costumed and filmed #TheCritic. It's a good story too. Recommended.

This looks like a very interesting event and well worth attending if you can get to Cardiff easily, think about comms and care about doing more than creating and sharing messages. buytickets.at/growsocialca...

Lee Miller was a remarkable and courageous woman. The film #Lee is affecting and powerful in parts with Kate Winslet also powerful in parts (but unconvincing as a 70 year old).

The best and worst of my bus replacement experiences today. This morning: the bus driver got lost - twice - and the bus was 45 minutes late. This afternoon: there was a sign on the bus saying, "I identify as a train." Human communications.

What is common knowledge in your field but shocks outsiders? 1. That patient data isn’t joined up and doesn’t flow throughout healthcare. No point in adding others. That one is HUGE.

The mighty Llywelen ap Gruffydd, William Williams Pantycleyn and a celebration of drovers in #Llandovery

A lovely bank holiday walk: our fifth stage of #OffasDyke. From #LlantilioCrossenny to #Pandy via #LlangattockLingoed through rolling countryside with the ever-changing profile of the Skirrid an ever-present.

We went to see the acclaimed #BloodBrothers last night in the #WalesMillenniumCentre and found it boring. I thought that the story about class was crass and the music was bland. For balance, the rest of the audience appeared to love it, giving a sustained standing ovation at the end.

Another hopefully useful list. This time it's UK political journalists and commentators. bsky.app/profile/did:...
