Helping people know the true meaning of education

Mindset is everything. Through the Hilth Foundation’s Feed the Streets Initiative last Thursday, we empowered street children to shift from begging to realizing their value. We didn’t just feed them—we educated and enlightened them to transform their lives for a brighter future.

Things are hard in the 21st century. To thrive professionally, you must: 1. Learn a complex, in-demand skill that almost everyone avoids. 2. Be the best at what you do. 3. Have access to capital. Follow for more positive teachings.

Last Tuesday, I visited the Kumasi Innovation Center. A particular artwork caught my eye: a design crafted from a discarded bicycle rim. This piece beautifully illustrates that even something seemingly worthless can be transformed into something valuable.

You can’t depend on one source of income and expect to be financially sound, especially if you’re an ordinary citizen. You need at least two sources of income to survive in this economy, and there are just two ways to achieve this: 1. Start a business. 2. Invest in a business.

If students can clearly understand the difference between schooling and true education, and discover their interests to align them with their educational pursuits—as the Hilth Foundation advocates—Africa will thrive, and the world will be great for all.

Once students understand the value of education, they won’t need to be forced to read their books—they will do so willingly because they know the benefits education will bring to their lives.

Schools began in ancient civilizations for elite education in writing and governance, formalized in Greece for intellectual growth, and expanded during the Middle Ages. By the 18th century, schools aimed to promote literacy and progress for all.

Now there will be less stress at work: an enthusiast has built a device that simplifies work correspondence The pears are connected to a computer, and the blows generate passive-aggressive sentences in the letter.

Not everyone who has attended school is educated. Education is a broader concept than schooling; it encompasses all forms of learning—both formal and informal—that help individuals develop knowledge, skills, values, and understanding.
