Since publishing this at the weekend ⬇️ I've been overwhelmed with messages from staff affected by redundancy, cuts, closures and state sanctions asking can I advise on wellbeing support and Communities of Care? The answer is yes, try the guide below, but please get in touch if other help is needed.

Waiting on results on a funding application. The chances of us getting it are super slim- 3%. That has not stopped me checking my emails every 10mins. Send hope

Introducing these two beasts. In fairness the book arrived ages ago, but got lost in the fuss of Christmas. Thanks to @barrowmember.bsky.social For recommending and @michellefranklin.bsky.social for creating

My heart goes out to the trans community today. Without wanting to draw too much attention to one man in America, it feels important to show that there is stark disagreement with his actions. As a cis-woman it is my hope that enough opinions of support will offer some respite.

Look at the lovely Lego flowers, now look at the important book, now buy and read the important book and support people who take the time to expose these unholy systems of oppression and hatred. Thank you @johnpring.bsky.social for writing. Solidarity to those that have lived this

For those not sure what alt text is, it’s a description of any photo you place so that visually impaired people know how funny/interesting/clever you are. Or you know - arnt. I’m soothes in as I have good intentions but the memory of a sieve.

Ever have a lurking problem? When you don’t know what’s bothering you about some until someone writes a paper on it and you think- that, that’s it. Well this is that paper. Thank you @devezer.bsky.social for taking the time to write. Bluesky is already paying off.

After a day of following people individually on the starter packs, I’ve just discovered the follow all button at the top and saved myself carpal tunnel syndrome. Assuming you have all worked it out yourselves but just in case thought I’d share. Feel free to look down upon me.

Academics with any left over funding and a big enough desk I promise this is the future. This beast of a screen has saved me absolute hours and has made bid writing 40% less painful. 5 docs open at once, this is the good place.

Hello out there. Any one else interested in fairness, organisational justice and behavioural equality?
