None of these jokers could/should be ignored. Managed and beaten at their own game but not ignored.

According to whom? Trump is never a reliable source.

Such a powerful image. We need much more of this!

Says all of us...

Yup.

"Unlike the chat in which The Atlantic was included, the newly revealed one was created by Hegseth. Named “Defense | Team Huddle,” it included his wife and about a dozen other people.... He used his private phone, not his government one, to access the Signal chat." www.nytimes.com/2025/04/20/u...

This is the truth. The number of leaders I have heard say their people are their most valuable asset then turn around and treat them terrible is staggering. The ones that I have seen do the right thing by their employees is few and far between.

Great answer and another reason why Newsom should never be president. Speaking as a Dem and a Californian

I cannot say this strongly enough -- If you are a member of the DC Bar, VOTE NOW for Diane Seltzer for president.

They are also preparing to steal the election in 2026 and not hold one in 2028. This is not a drill.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but any govt official who violates someone's constitutional rights -- and is acting outside the scope of their lawful authority -- can be PERSONALLY liable in a civil suit. ICE officers. Cabinet members. White House staffers. Even the president.

Don't let America's last words be "We didn't think it could happen here"

Senator Van Hollen’s commitment to the Abrego Garcia case isn’t performative. Wearing an overnight maxi pad on your ear after an “assassination attempt” is performative.

Mr. Trump—I’ve known Chris Van Hollen since the last century, and the last thing anyone who knows him would call him is a grandstander. He’s a defender of human rights. You should meet with him—you could learn something. www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

Belfast or Ellsworth

Ok Anonymous, we would appreciate your help here. This misused site must be reprogrammeable

Shout out to all the finance bros who didn’t give a shit about democracy, human rights, racism, homophobia, misogyny, the future of the planet or basic human decency and voted for the conman they thought was gonna be good for the economy. You guys are geniuses.

If the IRS deprives Harvard of its tax-exempt status, that's very bad for Harvard but it's also a catastrophe for the IRS. Instead of a neutral agency that enforces tax law, it will become a tool of partisan warfare. It may never recover.

Jason from all in welcome to the resistance?

Boasberg has game: "To permit officials to freely annul the judgments of the courts of the United States wd not just “destroy the rights acquired under those judgments”; it would make “a solemn mockery” of “the constitution itself.” (Marshall, C.J.). “So fatal a result must be deprecated by all.”

DOJ is suing my state, Maine, for discrimination against women in sports by allowing trans athletes to compete. Cool. Glad Pammy has her priorities straight. Wtf.

I agree. It’s shameful.

There it is!

I didn't have Peter Doocy asking a question concerning legality and deportations on my bingo card, that's for sure.

I agree. Dems in Congress must get creative and brave and DO SOMETHING. Now.

I’m with you. I had hoped that enough of us would have banded together and not paid anything. Everyone I mentioned it to and any post I made got zero traction. If enough of us declined to pay, they would have been starved for cash and don’t has the team to collect. Grrrr

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.

YIKES: The College Football Playoff National Championship trophy completely falls apart as JD Vance picks it up. A metaphor for this disastrous administration. (via Philip Wegmann)

Yes. Impeach. Convict. Remove. But in this case of this administration, I’d add… Repeat. JD or Johnson can’t ever be options for the highest office in the Land.
