When the Home Office get you DOB on your British citizenship renunciation certificate wrong but provide you with no reliable means of contacting them. After a dozen phone calls and bounced emails. I'm posting a letter registered post. Andrew Moore, home office Liverpool, CT8: why 😭

A poet performed her poem about her mixed feelings about smoking on Craig Charles 6music afternoon show in early january. Can I find where I noted her name? Can I fk. I swear I saved her on Instagram. I just can't keep up with modern life anymore.

Had a challenging afternoon trying to write a letter.

The flu is lifting after 5 days of head and body splitting aching. Today my temp is back down, and sp02 back up. Just left sounding like Marlene Dietrich, daaaarling.

Gloves finished!

I’ve digitally remastered another of Kenny Everett’s Radio Bristol programmes, being broadcast today on Radio 4 Extra at 1000, 1600 + midnight. It’s a work of art + includes an interview with John Lennon not heard since it went out on July 3, 1971. Now on BBC Sounds. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

And here's the link to my first pattern on Ravelry. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... #knitting #knittingsocks #cats

Clara’s cat paw socks – Knitting Pattern This pattern is deliberately sized for larger feet - these socks are easy to find in girl's/women’s sizes, but not so much for a 16-year-old boy with size EU42 feet (Medium in this pattern).

Cat paw socks! I designed my first pattern #sockknitting #knitting

What Apple, Google, and Amazon’s websites looked like in 1999. Take a ride on the internet time machine. mashable.com/article/90s-... #Webdesign #flashback #apple #google #amazon

A few years back, I worked the Christmas post in the sorting office between Utrecht and Nieuwegein. I'd spend a shift on a +-40m machine. The worst part was pulling out chewed up Xmas cards, mostly when people don't seal them. I'm posting this lot, sealed, on Friday the 13th for good luck 🤞.

You know you're getting old when you dig out your address book to send Xmas cards and every other page has the address of somebody no longer with us.

My exam marking assistant is ready.

The Ancient Cat Elder of Miaow Miaow and her night guardian. A stirring in the still of the night. Clara, warm from the great body beneath, moves herself out of harm's way as the ancient mother rolls herself out of bed, shuffling towards the toilet. Clara, known to some, as A-piece-of-the-night,…

We've been from Dom Utrecht to Dom Köln today. Cologne didn't disappoint. Including the Christmas markets, food and drinks!

I managed to get an afternoon studying done at the HU and was rewarded on the way back with the most sublime sunset. Dutch weather isn't always shitty.

Two nice things so far today. 1. I remembered to go to my hospital scan referral - GP only put it through yesterday, I got a call an hour later... didn't put it in my calendar. Only just remembered 😬. 2. They were the first to ask me for my new Dutch ID card. That's a cherry popped!

Today's pots #pottery it's been at //least 6 months since my last throw. My hands are lovely and soft. Two large mugs (1&3) and a couple of bowls me thinks.

If this is true, surely the US needs to look up the word democracy.

I'm trying my hand at Latvian colour work and braiding. I took a sock pattern and used it for gloves. I've yet to do the flap. I'm really pleased with the braiding around the fingers.
