Hey Dr. French, wondering if these types of flares could trigger heightened dream states. I had horrific nightmares last night and two of my friends also shared thatthey unusually weird dreams. Thoughts?

I have a total of 18 gallons of water storage and thinking of adding another 7 gallons to extend my stays out in the wilderness.

As someone with Bipolar Disorder, I am wondering if this means a low salt diet can trigger mania. pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...

isn’t zinc important for Treg function, and Lacc1 mediated metabolism supports Tregs - both behcets and crohns disease are linked to a defect in Lacc1 and Tregs.

The switch between M1 and M2 macrophages is linked to Bipolar Disorder and that switch is triggered by Tregs. Who gets Bipolar will be dictated by other genes of course. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....

Yes, I believe so. And the link between Crohn's (which I have in my duodenum) and zinc assisting in recovery of Crohn's also seems clear. academic.oup.com/ibdjournal/a...

This could be the cause of late onset Behcet's in some people, since zinc deficiency usually happens later in life. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16904928/

Thank you! My thoughts are that polymorphisms in the LACC1, and other zinc dependent enzymes (Zinc Transporters, ADA, GCH1, CA, SOD) are nutrigenomic traces of a people who eat a high zinc diet (think oysters, offal). Once off that diet, zinc deficiency arises and then altered T Cell function.

Wondering if you all are looking at the Nutritional Genomics of impaired T Cell function and zinc? www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Also, LACC1 is associated with Bechet's Disease and Zinc Sulfate seems to help with Bechet's. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16923135/

Excellent and thank you! I sent an email to Dr. Li. I carry this LACC1 polymorphism (23andMe) and have had a history of immunodeficiency issues. Zinc helps me so much and LACC1 has a binding site for zinc. Lats time my T Cells were tested they were finally at leats the very low of normal.

I never made it that far east, or even into Zion before. I stay at the Hurricane Cliffs Recreational Area BLM all the time though. Wonderful area. Never even been to the Grand Canyon! Things to do this year....
