Some brilliance never gets recognized because it doesn't look like what people expect brilliance to look like, or come from affluent neighborhoods. DEI was never about hiring to give unqualified people a leg up. It was always to prevent brilliance from being squandered for the sake of stereotypes.

Well, after a 2% cost of living raise, increase in health insurance, and adjusted taxes, my 2025 weekly pay is only $2.86 less than it was in 2024. Not the biggest hit I've taken over the years. Lately the check goes down more often than up. Am I $2.86 less motivated? Sometimes exponentially.
