Here on @bsky.app there is outrage about what’s happening in the USA and the world order and it’s safe to spell it out. However I notice elsewhere (FB/LI) the outrage is fiercely refuted by Trump supporters who think he’s their man. We must get clear on what we want and it’s not Orwell’s 1984.

This is terrifying - it suggests that there is a much bigger picture at play here - where the vision is to overthrow democracy and replace it with corporate, for profit technological entities where algorithms set the rules. It contends even Trump isn’t aware - he’s just a useful idiot in effect.

Today @hcrichardson.bsky.social sets out the history behind Trump/Putin and how Trump is now forcing a wedge between USA and Europe by aligning with Russia - his administration also gives outright support to far right parties across Europe. This is a seismic change of the world order.
