So the last two years around now, I’ve been consumed with the need to create a video game. It’s happened again. I know I’m not built for programming but I can’t help trying. I have so many things I SHOULD be doing, but nah, my brain won’t let me.

I burn out on social media so quickly. I don’t know how people keep updating their accounts regularly for years. Anyway, here’s another painting. Let’s just pretend I posted it on a regular schedule. 😅 Oil on canvas 18x24” #art

Anyone else take the week between Christmas and New Years off, but now it’s Jan 15th and you have no idea what you did the last two weeks? Anyway, here’s another abstract I painted. Oil on canvas 18x24”

My first painting of 2025. I can’t be certain but I’m pretty sure this is the most important thing I’ll ever create. What do you think? 🤣 Oil on canvas 11x14” #art

I have so many exciting plans for paintings in the new year! I can’t wait to build up my portfolio with all the skills I’ve learned in the past year, and to grow as an artist and creator. This piece I call “Remember me by my hair”. Oil on canvas 10x30”

I’m always a little hesitant to post my abstract paintings because I know lots of people don’t see the value in them. I know I didn’t for a long time. I no longer try to find some mysterious meaning in them and ask myself if it’s pretty, because that’s all that really matters.

If you’re looking for some free books, particularly romance books, to fill up that new ereader, check out www.romancebookworms.com today! My young adult book “The Man in the Box” is on the list!

I got tools for Christmas! I’m so excited. Apparently I’m a stereotypical dad? Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. :)

This goose is just checking in to make sure you choose chicken, turkey, or some other meal for Christmas dinner. 🤣 Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, or at least a tolerable one Oil on canvas 10x20” #artadventcalendar

A cute little mouse. Look at him happily in a field and not in my house. 🤣 #artadventcalendar

A pair of pears today for #artadventcalendar

Trying to decide which paintings to show for this #artvsartist was more difficult than I thought. It seems I’ve done a lot of bird paintings, which is odd given I’m generally not a huge fan of birds.

Have you ever wondered why chickadees are so obsessed with cheeseburgers? I know I have, especially when I was a kid. 🤣 Oil on canvas - sold #artadventcalendar

A little tomato I grew this year. I didn’t get many but the one I got were perfect. Oil on canvas 8x8” #artadventcalendar

I’ve done so much art lately that I don’t particularly like or feel proud of. It’s getting really frustrating. I want to do more than portraits of animals, but that’s all people have responded to so far. Is that all I can do? Oil on canvas 12x12”

I miss that one time I was on a starter list and got a bunch of followers in one day. 😂

I did this painting based on one of my book covers. I was trying to practice painting both faces and flowers with this one. I worked on a bigger canvas to give myself more room for details but her face still ended up small comparatively. Oops 😅 Oil on canvas 16x20”

My favourite thing to paint digitally is portraits. I wanted to bring that to the canvas. Decided to go much more abstract than usual for me. Oil and acrylic on canvas 10x20”

If you see this, post some cat art I haven’t been posting any of my digital art on here, but I just love this one I did of my friend and this kitty.

While walking my mother’s dog this summer, I met with these cows. They seemed like particularly pleasant cows and barely gave us a second look. Oil on canvas 12x12”

It’s always frustrating when a painting doesn’t turn out the way you hoped. Even doubly so when it’s on the biggest canvas you’ve ever used.

A painting of my little Shih Tzu, Diva. She’s just the sweetest most annoying brat ever. Her perpetual look of sadness only shifts when given treat from neighbours (almost daily) or new toys. Oil on canvas 12x12”

I did this painting specifically for small show that had an art call earlier this year. Excitingly, it was chosen for the show! “Who will I be today” Oil on canvas 12x12”

Playful horses Oil on canvas 12x12”

I’ve set up an online store for my art! ChristinaWhiteArt.com

As I try to explore my style and voice, I’ve tried a few different approaches to my paintings. Here is a more abstract figure I created. Oil on canvas 10x20” #art
