Update: the city (with considerable effort) excavated the cars and towed them before clearing the street. What's the final bill going to be for the owners, I wonder? Multiple winter-parking-ban fines plus the towing fee?

I finished another thing today: this is a sign-in console in maple and reclaimed Parliament copper, with an inset glass portion in the top. The angles/facets on the legs are a nod to the lines of the Parliament roof (and boy, they made this a lot harder to make). 72"L x 36"H

Canal MUP was not cleared this morning (a rarity) and was only suitable for fat bikes. This strip on the edge of the canal itself got me where I needed to be. #ottbike

Update: this car is part of a glacier now. This photo taken before people started digging out the driveways on either side, so things got considerably worse. Winter parking bans are a real thing!

Both MUPs were at least partly clear so the ride was fine once I got to the path. Expect to dismount & scramble over snowbanks at intersections. Sidewalk plow was stuck on the QEDr MUP at Bronson! Back wheels started sliding down the embankment and the driver couldn't get it out. #ottbike
