Today in the shop. #woodwork #woodcarving #furniture #interiordesign #interiordecor youtu.be/Mw3HyXMdnKs?...

You know your #ttrpg session is off the rails when someone says the words “Dire Aardvark” out loud

Glued up the outer edges of this matching pair of end tables. The inlay for the second is the next step, but you can see the first coming into shape. #furniture #interiordesign #setdesign #woodwork

I have 5 decorative tables on-hand - each one unique, based on a historical woodcarving, and beautifully built. Visit villandwoodshop.com for details. #furniture #interiordesign #interiordecor

Just finished this acanthus spiral table. It’s available, so let me know if it belongs in your home. You don’t want someone else to get YOUR table, do you? #woodwork #furniture #interiordesign

My wife @serahtonin.bsky.social has tolerated me in her life for 22 years as of today. Please clap for me, and congratulate her for her superhuman feat of patience. #anniversary

Goblin King Masquerade Ball -Milwaukee 2025. If you’re not here, you probably wish you were.

Hey @muellershewrote.bsky.social and @dgcomedy.bsky.social - if we post thirst traps to the upcoming Bluesky photo app, will we be calling them Hot Flashes? Asking for a friend.

“There - now you’re not gonna go anywhere, are ya?” #woodwork #woodworking

Just finished this little gem. The epoxy linework is a deep sparkly blue that looks like the sky at twilight, when the stars are coming out. Your home might not be furnished like a hobbit-hole… but what if it was? #woodwork #furniture #interiordesign

Started the new year early - was in the shop by 9:30am on the 1st, dry fitting this little table and getting it set up for assembly. It’s a prototype, but I’m loving the way it’s coming together. #woodwork #interiordesign #furniture #woodcarving

Does anyone else keep a body count of how many #scrollsaw blades they go thru on a project? Or is it just me? It took me 17 blades for the last batch of acanthus spirals. #woodwork #furniture #epoxy #interiordecor

Feeling accomplished. Finally got to the first repeat of the Beethoven piano sonata I’m working on (#17 Dm mvmt 3, for the nerds). It’s really hard, way past my skill level, but I really wanna play it. 5 months daily work to get this far. *thud* #piano

A passage from the Tao that’s frequently worth revisiting.

Hey @scalzi.com - your holiday gift guide post connected me with a sale, from WI (myself) to NM (them)! I make bigger, pricier things rather than small, less pricy things, so each sale is a big deal. Thanks very much again for opening up your site to your creative fans!

I completed a new table design - this one with inlay replicating the dragon carvings from the famous Urnes stave church, still standing in Norway. Details are up at villandwoodshop.com Have a look! #woodwork #furniture #interiordesign #interiordecor #vikingart

#fitnesssky, advice pls. Trying to be supportive of the women in the weight room without being creepy. Don’t want to call them “sugar” or “sweetheart” or whatever mildly condescending term pops up. So far only idea I have is “champ”. Any better ideas?

First acanthus spiral got its linework cleaned up yesterday. This will be a table soon. Check out villandwoodshop.com if you want it in your home- I’ll be posting it there once complete. #woodwork #furniture #interiordecor #epoxyart #norwegianart

#ttrpg folks - someone in our session this evening dropped the line “Liches get stitches” and now I need that on a sticker or a vinyl decal for my car window. Somebody call somebody. #dungeonsanddragons

Just spent 45minutes learning another 9 bars of a Beethoven sonata. My right ring and pinky fingers are refusing to follow my brain’s instructions. #piano

Here’s my previous project, under the bright lights and in front of an actual camera. Norwegian acanthus carvings will always have a special place in my heart. #woodwork #woodworker #furniture #interiordecor

Here’s a few WIP pictures of the things I’m currently making. I do inlay in batches.

Greetings! I’m poking my nose in here to see what it’s like. Everyone says it’s delightful. I’ll be posting things I make - woodwork and amateur animations, but we’ll see what else pops into my brain.
