Love watching either birds or Sunderland AFC. Don't have much success with either! Live in York.

Another view @yorkbirding.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social

Another great murmuration in Acomb, York. It drew in quite a crowd tonight @yorkbirding.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social #starlings #murmuration #birds

Starlings in York. Terrible quality video but an amazing experience. Thanks @birdingcyclist.bsky.social for the tips @nybirdnews.bsky.social @yorkbirding.bsky.social

Does anyone know where the starlings roast near acomb/clifton in York? I've seen large numbers flying over Boroughbridge Rd but not sure where they are settling @yorkbirding.bsky.social

How different birds would act on a first date...a thread. (From us to you this #ValentinesDay) 💕👇

Mega garden first today. MOORHEN. Pic taken out of the office window.

Woodcock again at Rufforth tip. 6x bullfinch together, GSW, sparrowhawk in a quick hour over lunch. @yorkbirding.bsky.social

Nice few hours at the @ldvnnr.bsky.social 3x smew still present. I was pleased to pick out the white fronted geese in a huge flick of grey lag and a tank of a caspian gull. Scaup also still present at Wheldrake. @yorkbirding.bsky.social @nybirdnews.bsky.social

We left a pair of Swarovski NL 10x42 on top of the car at East Chevington, Northumberland yesterday and then stupidly walked away, 5 minutes later we realised then returned but they were gone, I know it's a long shot but nobody on here picked them up and are trying to return them?

Got excited when this popped up this morning with an extensive collar, but too much colour on the chest for a sibe. Woodcock, plenty of snipe and little egret at Rufforth @yorkbirding.bsky.social @northyorksbirds.bsky.social

Tawny owl, plenty of snipe and a flock of teal over the tip at Rufforth. Also saw 2 hares, 2 deer and a fox this evening. @yorkbirding.bsky.social

This reminded me of the time I thought I saw a barn owl sat on a post. Got the bins on it and it turned out to be a lady sat on a bench wearing a white bobble hat.

At least one Caspain gull still present at Rufforth. GBBG too. 3x red kite and jay. @yorkbirding.bsky.social
