By setting arbitrary thresholds for these regulations to kick in, aren’t you encouraging SMEs to remain small so as not to reach those thresholds. And isn’t that basically anti-growth?

I would watch a reboot of James Bond set in the sixties, Mad Men style. Anything else, probably not.

AI fully writing your code feels a bit like buying a Lego set that’s already built. You’re missing the joy of building it.

I remember the days that #Java was cool, and I was reading a book on the new Java generics (Java 5) by the pool on holiday in Cyprus. Good times.

I wonder if the #EU could have a rapid response structure where countries represent certain blocks, eg Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Nordics and so on. That might be very tricky but for some situations it could be useful.

I fully understand this decision and it underscores to me that the simplification of #angular (no RxJs, no Zone.js) is an existential exercise for the Angular team.

Why are the #eurovision odds sleeping on the #Albania song, that is a fantastic song and probably my favourite so far.

It would be nice if there was a site that featured sets of preconfigured #Angular Material overrides, a bit like those Wordpress theme sites.

Did you know that there is no command to format your code in #xcode. And you can’t bring in Prettier or something like that. Crazy eh?

I don’t quite understand why #pgAdmin does not have the option to auto-update. I mean, it is 2025 you know.

It would be nice if Angular conferences would target beginner and intermediate developers. I sometimes get the impression that speakers try to out-clever everybody. But I don’t need a PhD in Angular, you know?

I think the #Angular team more or less confirmed on the livestream just now that the Animations package is going to be deprecated, in favour of modern CSS.

90% is not a good performance for a machine learning model in this sensitive domain. I appreciate it is a good start but science needs to do much better. Do journalists know about precision, recall, F1 score etc?

All #EU member states will no doubt agree that there is too much red tape, but as soon as the Commission says, OK let's get rid of this rule then, at least one member state will say: Ah, but not that one.

This is excellent and very welcome. It's difficult to see how the targets on simplification can be met, but as aspirations go, this is a very good start.

I was a Swift developer before I moved to my current stack, fronted by #Angular. I miss the focus on visual appeal, which was always a first class citizen at Apple. It had to look amazing. Not quite so with Angular.

The stock movements of AI companies yesterday might just be a welcome course correction, I mean, these days even pencils became “AI powered”.

It’s difficult to see how Europe can compete on AI with China and the US. The GenAI apps work best with complete disregard for user privacy. To have privacy laws like Europe has is a problem for AI companies.

“Rxjs is not dead it’s just optional” is such a great line to take by the #angular team. Definitely won’t rock the boat. Not that they will ever mention it again once it’s optional. It has held back the framework for years, to the point where it may not recover.
