In 2001 I was working at a high-end, pretentious catering outfit in Portland. They were enamored of Chef Keller. The coffee table cookbook from The French Laundry was a staple in the kitchen. The bit about the tree is a perfect metaphor.

Less than two weeks apart. Back on the island, another viewing, this time, no audio. The soundtrack, instead, is Hayes Carl. No dialogue for the first 20-some minutes anyway, so, really, no different. Pure Cinema.
