I am thinking once again about how in October 1984 CRIMES OF PASSION and BODY DOUBLE were released within a week of one another. This is what we had. We were once a nation of perverts.

I'm very tired of being asked why Hollywood doesn't make original, smaller films anymore. They do, and they're everywhere, including in theaters. It's human nature to say "they don't make 'em like they used to," but they do, in fact, make them like they used to. It's up to us to find and watch them.
