I absolutely agree when 94% or even 90% school attendance looks a like great record……but when you convert it to the equivalent days & lessons missed, that’s a different story. Research suggests that 17 days missed equates to GCSE results going down by one grade due to the amount of missed learning.

One thing is absolutely clear as daylight when you see a group of students learn new skills, hone their existing skills and then absolutely knock a school performance out of the park, you know you have great teachers. Spare a thought for supportive families who get them to rehearsals too.
