The lesser-spotted written Lampardian transition in Football London's interview with Pedro Porro @footballcliches.bsky.social

Dumped out of two competitions in five days because we don't have a striker. 6.44 xG, 1 goal.

Mikel Arteta's comments about the Carabao Cup ball are very unhelpful for a team and manager who are already seen as crybabies. We lost to Newcastle because he didn't sign a goalscorer. That's it.

Sign. A. Striker. Arteta.

I was sceptical about the Super League but now that it's called the Unify League all my fears are assuaged and I'm fully on board.

Who at Southampton allowed Aaron Ramsdale to be in the studio at TNT for this match? His team is 5-0 down at half time and he's analysing his own teammates on live TV in their worst performance of the season!

There needs to be an investigation into the decisions being given against Wolves in the last two seasons, how have they not had two penalties in this match? Foul in the build up to West Ham's second goal as well. Not sure why there would be any agenda against Wolves but it's getting farcical

Couldn't understand the rush from so many people to sell Mbeumo, yes his fixtures aren't great but they're not terrible, and there really are no better options at his price point #FPL

The Spanish commentators are imitating JAWS music every time we get a corner. It's absolutely ridiculous hahaha

Brilliant stuff from Arsenal tonight, found a way to win comfortably despite not being at our best. Scoring two goals from corners without our main corner threat!

If Evan Ferguson leaves Brighton on loan, I hope he goes to Fulham, or possibly Brentford. Everyone else either has an established striker or are struggling. Fulham and Brentford have good creative players that will make chances for him, and he can play without the pressure of a relegation battle.

14pts from 8 players in FPL, what a day. Too much trust in Fulham

Ethan Nwaneri is quality, absolutely unfazed by the step up to the first team. Even if he only gets 5 minutes on the pitch, he does something exciting.

Jesus playing really well so far. It feels like Ødegaard's return has energised the rest of the team, some excellent play all around in this first half

That's the end of that then

Love this performance from Ireland so far. Proper team performance, England look frustrated and you'd think the game was in Dublin from the atmosphere the Irish fans are creating. Hopefully more to come 2nd half!

Pretty shocking second half but a good win, some really good performances from Szmodics, Ebosele, Collins and Kelleher

Fantastic work from Johnston, great to see Ferguson get a goal

Looks like X needs a rest

Boo

Very attacking XI from Hallgrimsson, happy to see Ebosele and Johnston start. Hopefully Ferguson can kick-start his season. Concerned we'll be overpowered in midfield though, and surprised to see Doherty in. Does a win guarantee safety? The Nations League format seems to change every year!
