In the commercial you see them do that with the help of the "in-between" silver plane used during motion control passes to blend in post. We made three planes total. 2 bookshelf dioramas made for a client that has license to manufacture. Raiders of the Lost Ark and Psycho. The figures, house and temple pedestal were 3D printed. The rest are one-offs. Light gags were fun to pull off. These proof of concepts will need to be dialed in a bit better for production.

I was hired to make a 1980s cul-de-sac. It was for a series of Crocs ads. Their Horror Series Crocs were Friday the 13th, It and Nightmare On Elm Street. Small "Easter Eggs" were added - red balloon, storm drain and tricycle. It was a fun build. Backgrounds digitally by Ben Adams. #crocs #miniatures

The crew photo for Apollo 13 at Digital Domain with the rocket and launch tower. I worked on the tower, the Service Module and splash down capsule. I also fabricated the damage to the Service Module. That landed me in an issue of Cinefex magazine. My only appearance. #apollo13 #miniatures

This boat I made is in the opening sequence of the stop-motion movie Missing Link. Made out of vac-formed shells with a Bondo texture. Once finished it was molded and cast. Bench seats, oars and paint brings it to life. Laika Studios. #missinglink #laika #rowboat #oars #stopmotionanimation

On my work bench. A Mars Attack alien. The last copy from an original production mold of the space suit version maquette. The mold had to be peeled off of it bit by bit since it was so old and crumbly. Clean-up is not so bad. A few bubbles and reworking a couple of fingers. #marsattacks #spacealiens

The LLTV from the HBO series From the Earth to the Moon. I was responsible for making two frames of the test vehicle from brass. All thick walled brass. Silver soldered once joints were fit. This is Neil Armstrong training and he has to eject before the it crashes. Made at Vision Crew, 1998.

Miniature Titanic miniature for vfx lighting department. My client thought his diorama was a bit dull. I cleaned up the poor casting, added details like lifeboats, scale water base and masts, and gave it an accurate paint job. Much better now. #titanic #vfx #miniature #doomed #diorama #detailed
