3D printed the bottom half of a case for the Greaseweazle.... My PLA spool: "AAAAAAANNNNDDDDD IT'S GONE.gif" Had to order more PLA, which is fine. Will also need to make custom ribbon and power cables for this. No bother, I did a TON of that in my Win98 rig :)

For this GameCube motherboard, it looks like the nastiest area was just a layer of rust that dripped onto it, but left nothing behind after cleaning In a DIFFERENT area, there was this small amount it corrosion. Trace is dead. Resistor fell off. Away repair though. 120ohm

I actually do think an AI model could observe and replicate game logic, and that might even be a useful tool for development! But this is like saying a photocopy of a painting is "preservation." It's misleading and an insult to the thankless work we archivists do. I'm offended and sickened by this.

Cleaned up the inside of this switch. It DESPERATELY needed it! And while inside, made the thing silent with a mix of a fresh new #Noctua fan, and one of my custom built fan controllers so it's not running at full tilt all the time. Another great, simple, quick project :D

So I ended up purchasing a SECOND lot of about 150 floppy discs without knowing what's inside at all This one? Apparently TONS of SoundBlaster AWE32 disc, almost no dupes (different driver releases?) And... AOL !?!?

This is a reminder to open up and inspect your old electronics! This is a rare GameCube that I picked up a few months back. Motherboard has rust and corrosion on it. Luckily it still works, so no serious damage, and I should be able to clean this right up!
