I want to do a splat story where the main character is an octo that spends most of his time at sea, working for Mr. Grizz. A toughened, keen-eyed, quick-reflexes kind of guy who doesn't talk much. He works the hardest shifts for weeks at a time, and is thrown new meat to teach the rougher seas.
