If you get promoted enough, you get to a point where everyone is around you is playing power games. If you want to go back to being a worker, where everyone just wants to do good work, then they say that you couldn't handle responsibility, you weren't really a leader.

The idea that boys are bad comes from these right wing monsters themselves. Feminists critique systemic and cultural problems. Grifters take feminism out of context and misrepresent it to say "Look, feminists said boys are bad!" They groom boys to be hostile to feminists, incur fights and division.

Fight Club drives me nuts because it has absolutely incredible, inspiring class warfare stuff, but then mixes it up with terrible masculinity stuff. And then it's sort of fuzzy about what in all this stuff is good or bad. I so much wish for a film just like it, except only the class warfare parts.

When I was a kid, a classmate talked back to the teacher. So the teacher punished the entire class. So my classmates bullied this kid, which the teach encouraged. I was shocked that they were mad at the kid instead of at the teacher. I keep seeing that exact same dynamic play out in politics.

My new conspiracy theory is that the tariffs' purpose is to kickstart initiatives to replace labor with automation. People say that manufacturing can't move to the USA because American labor costs are higher than China's, but that's not an issue if the workers are replaced by automation.

I am once again begging people to realize that the law is words on paper and is not self executing. "That's illegal" is not and has never been synonymous with "that's impossible" or "that can't be done." "That's illegal" means "you might get in trouble for that depending on who you are."
