really think that so many japanese devs putting their shit on PC now has, at least in the nerdy internet circles i run in, extremely diminished playstation perception. it's not like the ps5 doesn't have a big library but when i can play yakuza and atlus games day 1 on PC now why bother with my PS5?

i know my perspective has been a little warped by moving to gaming almost entirely on pc but there's no way the ps6 is actually coming out in two years right. what tech advancements would even justify it. the fucking ps4 is still getting games.

every ffxvi thread has someone complain that the game doesn't have an elemental system, like including it would have made the combat more interesting and not be an enormous extremely annoying slog in a game that plays like DMC-lite.

like even though we'd be doing it in the wrong order watching gurren lagann and kill la kill back to back is a fun experiment because of how both shows bounce each other's themes off one another. they are basically companion pieces and i think they elevate each other a lot.
