Hey CBC, don’t do this. It’s not a “proposal.” Having different wording on your website won’t diminish the harm done by having Canada’s national broadcaster treat this as a serious conversation (see below for how it’s being portrayed on the relatively sane CPAC…). Pull out of this disaster now.

“Toronto’s bike-lane expansion program is going full steam ahead despite the Doug Ford provincial government’s legislation limiting the city’s powers. According to a new proposal, city staff are recommending a $28.5-million project to build over 12 kilometres of new bike lanes.” Good. Keep going.

If you can't see how ill-conceived this is, idk what to tell you. We're being threatened. USians have no say in our future. Your show regularly gets cranks call-in. How'll this be any different? On such a serious topic, you'll just platform MAGA. It's not a discussion. The answer is: no and never.

The Doug Ford govt will spend $1.3B funding 45 school building projects across Ontario—and not a single one in the Toronto District School Board, the biggest board, where the repair backlog is huge. @wencyleung.bsky.social with an important election story. thelocal.to/ontario-educ...

Build housing. Build infrastructure. Build stronger relationships with friendly countries.

"In December, Auditor General Shelley Spence revealed that the province spent a total of $103.5 million on advertising in the previous year... Much of the language used in the publicly funded ads mirrored talking points used by Doug Ford and the Progressive Conservative Party..." $103. Million.

Doug Ford needs to cancel Ontario’s contract with Starlink now. Absolutely solidarity with Ukraine but also to avoid it being used as a bargaining chip by Musk and Trump against Canada. Right now, Premier Ford.

Very bad. Looks like a purge of anyone that would say "no" to him. Especially bad omen if he uses military force to coerce or, worse, invade us.

the toronto region board of trade really shows its true colours as a big corporate interest group with their flawed report. at this point, this "business interest group" has thrown every local small business in downtown toronto under the bus by calling to remove much-loved caféTO street patios.

This alone should be grounds for terminating Ontario’s contract with Starlink immediately.

I'm doing my part and civic duty today. Voting provincially to kick Ford out at advanced poll today. And then, going to Canada Post to get verified to vote for Mark Carney so he can fight Trump, keep Poilievre out, and build this great country.

This is important: if you want to vote for the next Leader of the Liberal Party, you need to get verified before March 7th. Check your email for a message from “Leadership 2025” where you can find your Voter ID code – and then get started at secure.liberal.ca/verify

The last few days should put to rest the idea that Trump can be managed with the right combination of flattery and acquiescence. Zelensky made a series of reasonable and credible efforts to get Trump onside. He basically followed the playbook for how Trump ought to be managed. And, look:

Advance polls open tomorrow in Ontario for the opportunistic early called by the mean and corrupt PC government. Yet, most people haven’t got their voter cards that tells them where you can go vote. You can look it up here, though. voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca/en/election/...
