interested to see what happens when the social security checks stop flowing

SCOTUS indicates USAID payments must be honored immediately. The supreme Court holds the line! It’s too bad that it was only by a 5/4 majority, but the concept of the constitutional rule of law at least still holds. Thank god for that! s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

I hate to sound like a broken record, but “move fast, break things” is not how the government should be run. “Break things” in the government, means real people can get hurt or die.

I’m so disgusted. Honestly, the past couple weeks have been an exercise in shifting my reality on the potential for stupidity. But having a state leader, sit around for a press conference to be badgered about why he’s not wearing a suit. It’s just a goddamn embarrassment on a global scale. WTF 🥴

I can’t wait till Granny and Grandpa MAGA can access their social security benefits or make changes, or find a live person to talk to within 150 miles.

Republicans are too chickenshit to hold town halls. Shocker. Here’s an idea: Democrats, hold town halls in Republican districts.

Voted for Trump, now have buyer’s remorse? The Trump philosophy seems to be his version of FAFO. Don’t buy anything on the 28th unless you absolutely have to. #Resist

Well… here we are…I gotta say, this came quicker than I expected. #idiocracy #trump47 or #musk47 not sure anymore.

Here is a wild thought. Maybe “traumatizing” federal employees as Russ Vought sugests is not in fact the best idea when you also expect those employees to manage mission critical tasks with life and death implications. But what do we know???

Now that’s funny

Nothing says ‘serious leadership’ like threatening mass firings then trolling the very people who keep the country running with a Spongebob meme. Real stable genius energy. In any normal reality, this behavior would be ridiculed. TBH I’m not surprised that these two idiots relate to a kids cartoon.

We assumed that a person such as Eli Crane, a former member of the military and our elite Navy Seal teams would also be able to understand the separation of powers and have respect for constitutional law. I guess that is asking too much. Such a disappointment. May have breached too many time.

Wow, this is a moment we will all remember and probably regret.

who is the administrator of DOGE who is the administrator of DOGE who is the administrator of DOGE who is the administrator of DOGE who is the administrator of DOGE who is the administrator of DOGE who is the administrator of DOGE WHO IS THE ADMINISTRATOR OF DOGE???????

What a complete and total shit show dumpster fire. I don’t know how else to describe this. “That’s not normal,” an NNSA employee familiar with the firings told CNN. “It was ridiculous, unprecedented and sloppy. There’s no formal process.”

Let this be a warning

Move fast and break things is not a good motto for the American government. I’d argue it may not be the best moto in Silicon Valley.

It’s delusional.

“You cannot reason a person out of a position he did not reason himself into” - Jonathan Swift So true.

It’s a small win, but we’ll take it! let’s see if we can continue to build on this.

Welcome to the new American exceptionalism. ““We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected. When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work because they are increasingly viewed as the villains … We want to put them in trauma.” -Russel Vought head of OMB. Sad times

So transparent you can’t even see the ink

Just another day in the circus.

Imagine if @aoc @sanders.senate.gov , every dem, SIMULTANEOUSLY held Town Halls where they allowed grant and contract recipients to explain to the country what it is they do and why it's important Invite all media. Including RW podcasters. @spaces Flood the zone Call it a Day Of Transparency

I’m just yelling into the wind here, but, let’s continue. NO details on the hotels, NO due process to identify if the payments were legit, just more vague claims resulting in 4 more people getting fired. Cool www.forbes.com/sites/antoni...

These posts are too important not to reshare.

Fed funds make up about 1/3 state spending, supporting services like healthcare and education. Any reductions in fed funding will hit state budgets hard, making it tougher for families to access critical services. This must be what making America great again looks like. www.cbpp.org/research/sta...

“Move fast and break things”… what a 🫏

The worst!

This should strike a cord with everyone! Our nations judicial agencies should never be used as political pawns or threats. They have better sh*t to do. This letter should scare us all www.msnbc.com/deadline-whi...

We can’t wait to see the follow up on this.

Even the most basic jobs in the gov require background checks…. But in this case f-it!

Dare I dream?! I love this idea. One of the biggest concerns with Musk is his corruptibility and the lack of trust Americans have in him. This could be a step toward real accountability. pocan.house.gov/media-center...

Marko Elez, an Elon Musk staffer with access to the Treasury Department’s sensitive payments system, has quit after racist and pro-eugenics posts surfaced, including one stating, ‘Just for the record, I was racist before it was cool.’

Casar: "I don't know why Republican members even show up to this committee or Congress when it's clear who's really in charge of the federal govt right now, and that's Elon Musk."

Claim: 100 billion in savings annually if 10% of the federal employees take the deferred resignation. Truth: That would mean they each federal employee is making about 500k annually in pay, compensation & benefits. Not even close to reality apple.news/AU8cjwEPMTfu...
