Three updates: 1. The Justice Department has deleted a database tracking federal police misconduct. The database was first proposed in 2020 following the police killing of George Floyd.

We are members of Congress at the Treasury Department. We want to be let in to provide oversight on behalf of our constituents. @jasmineforus.bsky.social @sethmagaziner.bsky.social

President Trump is considering declaring a national “economic emergency” to justify implementing a series of universal tariffs and establishing the Department of Government Efficiency.

Trump is considering executive action to dismantle the U.S. Department of Education

Approximately 20 members of Elon Musk’s staff have begun working within the Education Department. They have gained access to multiple sensitive internal systems, including a financial aid dataset containing the personal information of millions of students enrolled in the federal student aid program.

Elon Musk now has access to your Social Security number. The world’s richest man has gained access to the confidential personal information of every taxpayer in the United States.

Bessie Coleman was a half Native American and half African-American woman and the first of both to hold a pilot license in the US and internationally.

Memos posted publicly to government websites claiming to be from the acting directors of OPM and OMB have metadata showing that the original authors are affiliated with Project 2025.

This is unacceptable! Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren, reporting that Navajo citizens in Arizona and New Mexico have faced “negative, sometimes traumatizing experiences” with federal agents targeting undocumented immigrants after Trump’s recent immigration orders.

She is the hardest to take a picture of. She’s always blurry, like she has an aura shield. This one isn’t the worst, but I annoyed her A LOT trying to get it. 😂

Attn: Yesterday, the Supreme Court revived the nondelegation doctrine, a legal theory that limits Congress’s ability to delegate power to federal agencies like the EPA—even if Congress wants to. (1/3)

Well, isn’t that convenient? Musk gets named to the fake department of DOGE, and suddenly NASA’s future is up for debate—just as SpaceX is poised to cash in. Funny how “efficiency” seems to mean redirecting public funds straight into private pockets.

Everyone should have a big orange cat.

A certain website gave me the option to virtually view what this monster pencil box would look like in my home, and I couldn’t help myself… Also it’s a lot smaller than I expected. 😂

When you see a cool fungus on a tree and you have to make an abrupt stop to take photos, like a totally normal person.

I will miss all of the living things this winter, as always.
