I just don't see any GOP Senators or Reps reining in Trump at all. I don't think even a depression will give enough of them a backbone to do anything worthwile. This ish is gonna go all the way through to Nov 2026 & will only stop if the electorate actually votes these tools out of office.

If there's one thing this era has taught me, it's that our country was filled w/ horrible people who were only acting decent cuz they knew they'd be shunned if we really knew what they believed. The one thing we can thank Trump for is letting us see what these people were really like all along.

Sure, but only if the rest of the govt acts lawfully, but let's not pretend we don't live in an increasingly Project 2025 version of America. The Heritage Foundation basically wants to make EOs enforceable law, & there are plenty of cops, lawyers & judges perfectly happy to treat them as such.
