Medieval Women @britishlibrary.bsky.social is fantastic! So many stunning 📚 but as a material girl my highlight was the Fishpool Hoard, 1464 - with 1237 🪙 & 223 of them newly minted & jewels, it was stunning & likely Margaret of Anjou's, to support Lancastrians in War of 🌹 ... Great exhibition!!!

Up in the Gods! Cannot wait to hear them belting out 'Oom Pah Pah' etc. 🎭

'“Even with the recent increase to fees [to £9,535], our modelling of ‘holding tariff’ v ‘maxing volume’ scenarios found that there is no longer financial benefit to taking more of this category of student. Put simply, higher volumes necessitate greater on-costs.”' 1/4

The humanities risk becoming “ornaments” on science-focused university course portfolios as they take a “disproportionate” hit from the UK sector funding crisis, public historian @davidolusoga.bsky.social has warned. @julietterowsell.bsky.social reports #highered #EduSky

One of the biggest thrills I have working on the Gloucester Project is when a relative of someone on board who experienced the wreck in 1682, gets in touch to talk about what actually happened to their ancestor ... never fails to give me goosebumps #historymatters www.gloucestershipwreck.co.uk

I am writing about shipwreck today & I love these poignant & haunting images, but all I can think about is friends near & far facing uncertain futures because HEI 'pilots' & governments have navigated the whole sector onto the rocks #solidarity
