I'm a dad, teacher, gamer, gooner, and I love to read (too many dystopian novels). I also love brutalist achitecture. I'm an art-enjoyer, musician, cat person... so a few typical bases covered there.

Went to Victor Hugo at the Royal Academy. Beautiful, haunting, and magical work. @royalacademyarts.bsky.social

Why is so much supermarket packaging still unable to be recycled at home and who the fuck recycles at a large supermarket? Is this a loophole? I am sure they should be far more ♻️ friendly by now. Big brands seem better than own brand stuff, why?

It is vital that you know that I saw Thom Yorke sitting on the South Bank of the Thames yesterday.

17 - 4 < 19 - ? Which number cannot replace the ? 1 3 5 or 7 This was a maths question in a test for my Year 1 kids this week. 5 and 6 year olds. This country's education system pressure starts too young. Builds anxiety from the start. #Teacherlife #UKeducation #school #changethesystem

Morning off, sun's out, off to see Mickey 17, just walked past Keira Knightley. Good day so far.

Big fan of this week's @theweek.com cover art. Howard McWilliam don't miss.

So excited to see Beta Band later this year. Time to give this a spin. #betaband #vinylfriday

There is a Bladerunner TV series in production and a Neuromancer TV series in production and that makes me feel so warm and fuzzy and excited.

Can anyone see that star towards the South-West UK, flickering (twinkling?) all different colours? Is that scintillation? Thought it was a flashing plane at first then realised it wasn't moving. I do love putting the bins out. #star #uk #nightsky

Let's go for a few pints, you won't need to put your hand in your pocket all night. Welcome to the UK, Volodymyr. We'll always have your back 💛💙

Got the motor washed this morning, the sun was out, London was in a really good mood and then Don't Stop Believin' came on the radio and the rest is (a windows down, full blast) history, as they say.

• Last • Week • Was • Half • Term Sorry Elon, managed to go see Bridget Jones and that's about it #teacherlife

This may be my first and only 👏👏👏 Kemi Badenoch. Well said. I'm very interested to hear what Keir Starmer has to say to Trump peddling the propaganda and disinformation of an actual dictator who hasn't had a fair election in a long time. What in the world.

I hear The Brutalist is showing with an interval. I know that film is 13 hours long, but can we normalise this for films that push past 2 and a half hours? 1. The cinema will sell more snacks 💰💰💰 2. No one is spending 60% of the film thinking about the piss they need. Win win.

This is what a white supremacist sounds like. The kind of language used by Trump (remember black jobs?) and his cronies on a day that should have been about only the victims sets a dangerous precedent, fueling yet more baseless hatred and distrust in the US against anyone in a job that isn't white.

Very much looking forward to this as someone that loves video games and spends a lot of time trying to relax by listening to @classicfm.com www.classicfm.com/music-news/d...

Can someone tell me if people are seeing more UFOs or UAPs (since when did everyone call them UAPs) or if it's AI or... airplanes or drones? Seeing things everywhere and I need the truth. Is it out there?

Glad London Overground has renamed the lines and made them nice colours n all but can we put some money into the lifts? Constantly out of order, pile of shite, why are they all so bad? #London #TfL #LondonOverground #moan

Just watched The Santa Clause. A whole street watches a load of reindeer lift a sleigh into the air and not a single person has their phone out to film it. I think Christmas peaked in the 90s ngl.

Started watching Black Doves. There is something perfect about Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw on-screen together. Really enjoying so far.

You know how Bluesky feels like what Twitter once was? Is there the same thing out there for those wanting an alternative to Instagram? I just want to share and view photos of people I follow, no nonsense.

@blindboyboatclub.bsky.social saw this and thought of you www.theguardian.com/food/2024/de...

@blindboyboatclub.bsky.social I like it when you said this week's pod was like a phone call. My dad was from Limerick and he always used the phrase, "I'll leave you go" on the phone and you said it during this episode and it reminded me of him. Cheers.

I always run on a treadmill like I'm a defender getting back into position after an uneventful corner down the other end.

I changed over to BBC1 earlier and saw the words Gregg Wallace MBE. Is it common to include honours during end credits? Seems like a very Gregg Wallace MBE thing to do.
