After the April 11 attack on Zamzam camp in #Sudan, about 24,000 people have fled to Tawila in search of safety. Our teams are in Tawila, supporting people arriving exhausted and traumatized ⬇️

To mark the new season of #TheLastOfUs, time to shamelessly re-up this piece for @msf.ca on the importance of ensuring existing #EssentialMedicines💊, in this case antifungals, are still available when needed (for dystopian fungal pandemics🍄🧟or otherwise). www.doctorswithoutborders.ca/the-last-of-...

People packed the streets across the U.S. on Saturday to protest against President Trump, his administration's cutbacks, financial turmoil and more. nyti.ms/43GRvS7

What an inspiring evening at the @theglobeandmail.com Center in Toronto to celebrate the investigative journalists who won the 2025 Canadian @sidneyhillman.bsky.social Prize! Congratulations, and thank you for your important work in these often dark times. www.hillmanfoundation.org/canadian-hil...

Unlike in the US, it appears that the French judicial system is still working

“I have to fight despair every day. For me, hope is not some abstract concept. It is a prerequisite for my survival. And so I don’t have room for hopelessness in my life. I’ve got to fight it. Because my life kind of depends on it.” @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social www.spokesman.com/stories/2025...

I received a heartbreaking email today: A paper in a special issue I’m editing is being retracted because one of its authors is afraid of losing their job and their legal status in the U.S. if they publish a scientific study on evolution. Yes, on evolution, nature's engine of diversity.

Our teams working in #Myanmar and #Thailand are safe and accounted for after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck the central region. Doctors Without Borders can support communities, once authorities grant unhindered access for teams to do assessments and provide medical care.

Sowohl die evangelische also auch die katholische Kirche verliert Mitglieder. Das liegt neben der finanziellen Last auch an Glaubwürdigkeitsfragen.

They are just disappearing people off the street. Having a hard time thinking about literally anything else.

The loss of US support to Gavi is projected to deny approximately 75 million children routine vaccinations in the next five years, with more than 1.2 million children potentially dying as a result.

What a shame. Children across the 🌍 don't have access to the #TB care they deserve. Funding cuts are impacting community services & putting even more kids at risk. This #WorldTBDay, join me in amplifying @msf.ca call for: 1️⃣sustained investments in TB diagnosis 2️⃣ treatment 3️⃣prevention #MedSky #TBSky

I saw a clip of a Fox News host saying his two major rules for men were never to cross your legs and never to drink from a straw — the latter because it causes you to purse your lips which “isn’t manly” — and suddenly all of this made sense. Lovely review for EITB in The Lancet. Thanks, Dr. Pai!

#Gaza: Along with hundreds of others across the Strip, our colleague Alaa Abd-Elsalam Ali Okal was killed in on March 18 following the resumption of Israeli attacks. Hundreds more were injured in this abrupt end to the ceasefire. Our thoughts are with his family.

#DRC update: The situation in #Walikale, #NorthKivu remains tense despite this morning's lull, allowing #MSF teams to assess medical and humanitarian needs. Yesterday, the fighting between FARDC and M23/AFC reached the town centre. Although MSF was not directly targeted, crossfire hit our base.

#Gaza: Doctors Without Borders extends its condolences to our colleagues at @unops.org and the families of the staff killed in an explosion on March 19 in a UN compound, located in a deconflicted area in Deir Al-Balah, central Gaza. We are deeply shocked by this deadly incident.
