Arrived in Tropea today and the town and especially the beaches – seen here from above – are absolutely beautiful. Also: much, much cleaner than the ones in Salerno. Just learned about the heavy storms hitting northern Italy and parts of Switzerland at the mo... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

I can't tell you how happy I was to be able to take this photo. Somehow, I managed to lose my Fuji camera yesterday – which annoyed me quite a bit – but then I actually got it back today because the very fine people at the Coop Salerno grocery shop had found ... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Liked this street art in Salerno, that cleverly integrates the electricity box it's placed on. πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

The progress of the web shouldn’t be dependant on a corporation that discards one of the real forces of progress overnight like they’re nothing. Extremely poor form, Google. Truly disgraceful behaviour. nerdy.dev/ex-googler

The view out of bed, where I’ll be waking up for the next few days. I could get used to this. πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Quality is never an accident.

The Pantheon is such a beautiful and impressive building. We did only see it from outside this time, though, as the lines were too long and the entry not free anymore. It was our last day in Rome today and tomorrow we’re heading further south. Next stop: Salerno πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Peeking into the Colosseum through one of its many arched corridors. It was a little packed, but judging from the long barriers prepared outside we had hit a very β€œquiet” period. πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Daje! Spotted this piece by Collettivo K2m in the streets of Rome today. πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Arrived in Rome today. The tourism in this city is surreal at all times, and this year with the catholic church celebrating their 2025 Jubilee, it's probably even crazier. Still love this city though and have lots of memories from a vacation here with my dad,... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Had an awesome day exploring Lucca today, a small but insanely beautiful town. Here we were walking onto Piazza dell’Anfiteatro, which was an actual Amphitheater during Roman times and full of tourists, restaurants and street musicians today. Tomorrow: ... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

We made a quick stop in Pisa today to look at the Leaning Tower. It is impressive, but I’m glad we didn’t choose to stay there for the night and are now in Lucca, which seems to be much nicer overall. You could even go to the top of the tower, but that would ... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

The last 2 days in Florence went a little different than planned. Last night, my son ran into a kitchen corner with full force leaving him with a puncture in his forehead that needed to be β€œglued” together in a hospital. And today, instead of the planned... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Made it to Florence today and had a first look around the inner city. Pictured here is Giotto’s Campanile, the majestic 85m bell tower at the Florence Cathedral. πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Arrived in Milano yesterday with the family, where we spend the first two nights of our month-long trip through Italy. Next stop tomorrow will be Florence, which none of us have visited before and I’m very much looking forward to see, and from there the curre... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

Spent yesterday morning in Basel with some of the WordCamp Europe organizing team for another venue visit and some sightseeing in the afternoon – here we are looking at the Basel Town Hall or "Roothus". πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

picu is now available in French as well (free & Pro). It's always such a great feeling to see a piece of software you helped create getting translated into a different language that you don't speak yourself!

It’s been just a little over a year now since my homemade miso paste was stored away in our cellar to slowly ferment. Yesterday, we opened a small part of it for a first taste-test, which was pretty exciting [...] πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...

The father of a friend of mine passed away unexpectedly and today was the memorial service. It was a sad day – rainy and cold – but the ceremony was very nicely done. I recently read this article about why you should always go to the funeral, and was reminded... πŸ”— claudiorimann.com/photos/2025-...
