The word I keep coming back to is depraved. Utterly depraved domestic and foreign policy.

Just honestly so deflating to watch Dems. So many people lifting me up with some grace and hope, and then 1/2 the opposition party votes to confirm a nominee WHILE THEY'RE ACTIVELY ILLEGALLY DURING PEOPLE AT THE SAME V-FUCKING-A!!!

Can someone walk me through the policy argument for "no tax on tips?" Seems dumb, but I'm uneducated. Why is wage tax fair but tip tax not?

Props to this journalist who asked the question (wish I knew who). Force errors. Play this on loop. "Trump and Musk are stealing from you. They're not like us." Queue this clip: "I know some Russian oligarchs who are very nice people."

@vanhollen.senate.gov just dropped an email referencing UC, but only time will tell whether he's saying they've BEEN doing this or they WILL do this. Either way, the campaign got to them in just over a week. @senategabe.bsky.social leading the charge, but 200 flyers outside his townhall didn't hurt

I consider myself a loyal Democrat, I just want them to do more, but more of this and I'm going to become a solid "burn the party to the ground and salt the ashes" person

A good reminder of what drove impeachment in ROK. Insurrection and pardoning J6ers are impeachable offenses. @raskin.house.gov is smart, but wrong on avoiding large protests out of fear for the Mad King declaring (futilely) martial law. Force the error, drive the No Kings message, impeach!

@vanhollen.senate.gov + @alsobrooks.senate.gov - this is a battle for the livelihoods and lives of your constituents! Don't lie to us that you're using "all procedural tools." You're 2 of the safest senators, it's up to you both to lead the opposition in the Senate!

This is great, and really more of the goal is forcing the admin to make errors and GOP pols to wear those errors

Force errors. They're reactionary. Woke won the war. Make them react to us and make dumb errors in the process. Half-baked Nazi salutes are forced errors.

It's paper thin rhetoric at that. You cannot do research on why it takes combat medics longer to do a blood sweep on a woman than a man, and you can't advocate to make changes that improve outcomes for women. The whole thing is to question the merit of every woman and POC because of their race

Military officers should remember that it takes decades to build trust between civilians and their military, and that institutional trust is critical with an all-volunteer force of citizen-soldiers. It takes very little to piss that away, as dozens of other national experiences show
