The irony of this is that the Bastrop area where Musk is moving Twitter's headquarters is surrounded by the ruins of the Bastrop County Complex fire, the largest and most costly fire in Texas history, which happened in 2011. 32,000 acres burned, 2 people killed. It took 55 days to contain it.

One of the highlights of studying my local Wasp Spiders (Argiope bruennichi) last year was seeing Hornets (Vespa crabro) taking them as prey. The Hornet flew low, banging webs to locate a spider. It grabbed a spider, which clung to its web, the Hornet chewed its legs off to remove it from the web.
