You wanna play the best 3D collectathon platformer? It's time for ROCKET: ROBOT ON WHEELS! Literally every world has a part that makes you ask 'why did you put this much effort into one tiny mechanic'. I don't know why there's a rollercoaster builder for TWO collectibles, but goddamn, it's there!

Oh hell yeah, I LOVE weirdly specific niche knowledge applied to fiction! I also love that if you try to get an idea for how long each expansion takes, the longest is Stormblood, and it's ENTIRELY because of two boat trips.

I'm sure The Alters is a good game, but I just tried to check if it had female characters at all, because the promo art is all White Guy. It turns out the answer is 'yes', but I had to check four different websites to find that out. That's gotta be failing SOME kind of Bechdel-adjacent test.

I'm proudly a lore nerd, and I've seen this all over, even around media where the story IS important, like FFXIV. There are things to know, and people who take joy in knowing things and sharing things. It's a damn shame to dismiss them because you don't have the same interests.

Theoretically, I am exactly the audience for a book of FFXIV short stories, even just republished Lodestone ones. I'm sorry, but I cannot think of a less appealing cover for it than this.
