Here it comes. Not so thinly veiled efforts to grant legal protections for oil companies who KNEW (since the 1960s) and LIED (for decades) about their role in perpetuating the climate crisis. All while communities suffer the catastrophic consequences these companies knew would occur. Sickening.

"'Chemical recycling' is a false solution to our plastic problem. It doesn’t halt the deluge of plastic waste, and it creates new harms. Policymakers, companies, and the public should not fall for the industry greenwashing." @nrdc.org www.nrdc.org/resources/ch...

No immunity for Big Oil! Not today. Not ever.

"The state of California is currently suing five of the largest oil and gas companies in the world for decades of misleading the public about climate change," wrote Senator Lena Gonzalez. "This lawsuit includes Philips 66, owner of the 76 brand of gas stations." www.latimes.com/environment/...

"A political stunt" — "a Hail Mary pass" — “a total loser from the start" — "an attempt to run interference." Experts agree there was never a legal basis for the Supreme Court to consider this attempt to shield Big Oil from climate deception lawsuits. Onward toward trial! grist.org/regulation/s...
