Her campaign was basically perfect. In 100 days she did what most candidates in the US take two years to accomplish. And she was fighting not only a global anti-incumbecy movement but oligarch interests. The fault was on everybody who could vote and didn't, out of apathy, spite, or idiocy.

“A new poll suggests that more than a quarter of Canadians — 27% — now see the United States as an ‘enemy’ country, while another 30% still say they consider the U.S. an ally. 2/20/25 torontosun.com/news/nationa...

Indigenous women entering the US workforce now stand to lose $1,202,200 over the course of a 40-year career compared to white men. Indigenous women’s career losses based on today’s wage gap would amount to more than $1M in 29 states, incl. CA and NJ where they lose over $2M. nwlc.org/resource/the...

That guy is Executive Director, Naval Sea Systems Command. He's basically the guy in charge of making sure the boats are good boats. And he has to send a frantic email out telling everybody to treat DOGE like a phishing attack.

This seems like a phisher's dream. Announcing that a government email is about to go out and that recipients are required to respond to it seems like the kind of thing cybercriminals would love to spoof in order to infect workers or trick them into revealing their login credentials.

absolute legend

I need everyone to be crystal clear that this is a continuation of RFK and the wellness community’s *obsession* with the elimination of the disabled and the chronically ill. They are disgusted by us, they view illness and disability as weakness, and they believe in using eugenics to disappear us.

The real headline here is: "Trump eyes getting personally bribed by China to abandon Taiwan" China and Russia are going to take turns bending Trump over.

W.E.B. Du Bois on the white takeover of southern public schools after Reconstruction. Not a coincidence that the chapter, "Back Towards Slavery," follows his analysis of the eventual dedegration of the public school system. Attacks on education are vital to (re)instituting authoritarian rule.

God this is all so, so dumb

AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

BREAKING: The USDA has confirmed five additional dairy herds in California have tested positive for the virus, raising the total to 732. Currently, 74% of the state's dairy herds are infected with H5N1.

anyone, including those who claim to be experts saying that the Republicans are not a Nazi party are not just incorrect. They are trying to protect themselves from the reality that they are wrong.

The Trump regime's segregationist agenda is clear. I argue that having a Black man as president of white America enraged a portion of this country so much, that they decided to destroy any pipeline to Black advancement in academia, government, & workplaces. karenattiah.substack.com/p/trumps-seg...

Trump was willing to stand up there for a few minutes to pretend to care about black history, but hugging the guy was a deal breaker.

"And after Trump was elected, Armstrong met privately with the 47th president. Then, Coinbase and a host of other top crypto companies, including Kraken and Ripple, each donated $1 million to Trump’s inauguration fund. " Also? Coinbase CEOs sister Kathryn Armstrong Loving is in DOGE.

The other thing that burns my britches, and then I gotta go, is ppl STILL saying "this is why I wanted Bernie" (and I know talmbout Sanders here invites trolls like talmbout 47 over in the other place). Bernard is a large part of the reason so many ppl ignored the warnings from rank & file dems.

Because I've been asked: the exception that allows Medicare to pay for mental health services over telehealth will remain in effect

Telehealth isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. For many of my patients with Long COVID and disabilities, in-person visits are exhausting, inaccessible, or simply not feasible. Removing telehealth coverage means denying care to those who need it most. We must protect access to virtual care.

It occurred to me that firing thousands of highly skilled, highly knowledgeable people, some of whom had access to highly secret information, and now have grievances and an urgent need for money, might be considered a security risk. Like, a big one.

We are arms dealers to terrorists.

Reuters reporting that the U.S. has threatened Ukraine with the “imminent” shutoff of Starlink access unless the country agrees to handover control of rare earth minerals to the United States. www.reuters.com/business/us-...

“U.S. allies that regularly share intelligence with the U.S. are looking at ways to safeguard top-secret information from what they expect to be a very leaky Trump administration…” (“Leaky” is an understatement when some of the principals are foreign assets.) www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

💯💯💯💯

Glad to see Trump’s imperial threat against a majority indigenous population given its proper platform. This is not about Denmark. It’s about the Inuit who constitute more than 85% of the population of Greenland.

So the President not only fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He also fired the top JAGs at the Army, Navy and Air Force. Those are the lead people who determine what is a legal order and what is not. So if you're planning to do things that are illegal they're the most obvious obstacle.

Heroin addict and roadkill enthusiast, RFK Jr. kills flu shot campaigns and cancels a major vaccination conference.

and a lot of its faults stem from precious Republican efforts to fuck it into the ground

Have a timeline cleanse 💚

I wrote about how DOGE, the Supreme Court, and Trump's latest executive order is destroying the last vestiges of corporate oversight and U.S. consumer protection standards in a way that will probably never be fully repairable

Side note. There are eight members of the joint chiefs. the chair is black. the CNO (navy) is a woman. the other six are white guys. chair and the cno got fired tonight.

CSPAN Caller from West Virginia: I’m a diabetic and I’m on Medicare. When Biden was in there, my insulin was $6 for a 28 day supply. I just went to CVS, it went back up to $80…

A defining policy battle is about to come to a head in this country. The Republican budget will force everyone - especially Congress and the White House - to make plain whether they are prepared to harm the rest of us in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest.

Trump just fired the Joint Chief of Staff to install his own puppet. Do you really think he plans on leaving in 2028? www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec...

Reagan's also responsible for the fact that social security benefits are taxed.

Rep Raskin has been great. Rep Ocasio-Cortez has been great. And Rep Frost and Rep Crockett. Senator Murphy. Maybe no one knew exactly what to do. But such people laid down a clear marker. Let’s respect these and other elected federal representatives who stood out these first few weeks.

Patel: "Anyone that wishes to do harm to our way of life and our citizens, here and abroad, will face the full wrath of the DOJ & FBI. If you seek to hide in any corner of this country or planet, we will put on the world's largest manhunt & we will find you, & we will decide your end state. Not you"

on a phone town hall with new Oregon House Rep Maxine Dexter and she says her freshman class is full of great people "who are, candidly, maybe a little more impatient" for the party to get off their ass and DO SHIT than some of their Dem peers, which made me like her better she seems ON IT

WOW. Something's happening here 👇

People moaning about those on disability benefit better hope they never get sick or have an accident because they'll be disappointed if they think they're going to get kept in luxury,if you're fit and healthy enjoy life to the full as it could all come crashing down one day and you'll regret moaning

"The crowd again started shouting 'tax Elon,' 'tax the wealthy,” “tax the rich' and 'tax the billionaires.'" The county went 68% for Trump www.lagrandeobserver.com/news/local/r...
