Look, you hired me for my ability to see things from a different perspective and find new solutions to your organization's problems. So maybe you should be more open-minded, respect my experience and consider the possibility that it's actually YOU who's been pronouncing your name wrong.

I'm no horologist but I did fix two clocks tonight. Trying to decide which one I should bring to the office to sit on my desk.

I'm really enjoying these Computer Chronicles watch-along videos LGR has been doing. It's fun to see someone else's reaction... and the details they catch that I missed when watching myself.

Maybe you remember PC Connection’s raccoons, who appeared in a long-running ad campaign. Maybe you don’t. I happen to consider them some of the best tech marketing of all time, and hope you’ll read my article about them. It has their whole previously-untold story! technologizer.com/home/2025/04...

Motivate me.

Young Einstein is not available in high definition. This is a tragedy.

The RAREST Macintosh Performa Model That Apple Ever Produced? #Money #Magazine youtu.be/9dI6PYuwW-Q?...

A guy from our Dundee, Scotland office reached out to me today about a work project. Ended up chatting about vintage computers. He ended up snapping this picture on his way home. #VintageComputing #RetroComputing

Let's all go back: homestarrunner.com/toons/backto...

I'm going to my first (ISC)2 event tomorrow night. Guessing there will be some interesting unexpected conversations.

6 years ago I got an IBM PS/1 Consultant computer. I used the recovery floppy creation tool on its HD with a Gotek to make image files. Just found them again and checked to see if they'd been uploaded to @archive.org yet. Of course they had. 6 years ago. By me.

I was excited to find this disk on the 'free stuff' shelves at Free Geek Twin Cities yesterday, sadly, it is unreadable. #VintageComputing #RetroComputing #FarSide

A neat find today. New Old Stock IBM Personal Computer AT Prototype Adapter Board. #VintageComputing #RetroComputing

My IBM 5170 is now complete. Spent way too many hours chasing down XT-IDE Universal BIOS quirks and some other oddities but I'm happy with it. Celebrating with a game of Hearts with my friends Jerry, Devin and Princess Rosella. #VintageComputing #RetroComputing

Starring David Mitchell as... David Mitchell.

Gimme an E! Gimme a G! Gimme an A! The non-working IBM PC AT I picked up two weeks ago just had a dead IDE drive and some incorrect jumper settings on the IO card. Even the 2MB RAM card is fully functional! #EGA #VintageComputing #RetroComputing

Anybody know where I put all of my spare Compact Flash -> IDE adapters?

Guess who's two years old today! Happy Birthday, Mabel! #dogs

Lucky knows how to relax.

Got a new printer so I redid the artwork that covers the electric service panel in my lab. Looks much better now. #VintageComputing #RetroComputing

I worry that this might sound like engagement fishing but I promise it isn't. I would really appreciate people's input on their favorite DOS games that make good use of EGA graphics. #VintageComputing #RetroComputing #RetroGaming

I wasn't planning on going to #MGC this weekend but now I'm considering it... Never been before. It's it worth a 6 hour drive + hotel?

I'm sure this is going to be even BETTER on Blu-ray! #Biggles

This is weird. I've found a question that Alexa refuses to answer: "When did Estelle Getty die?" She happily answers the question for any other dead celebrity I've tried. But for Estelle Getty, she acts like she couldn't hear you. (if you're curious, she died July 22nd, 2008 at the age of 84)

The X1 is an incredibly interesting computer, one of the few that truly feel designed around a tape deck (the cassette versions naturally) lots of automatic stuff happening - The Sharp X1 starting to load BASIC from Cassette #RetroComputing youtube.com/shorts/GWrXT...

You guys are all a day late. The real party was yesterday. Saint Urho's Day. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Urho
