They may want Berlin 1933 But we can make it Paris 1789

Federal workers launch a new site to share inside information about DOGE

People should be absolutely furious with this crap. Companies keep increasing the prices they charge, while trying to push the service they provide to near zero. While lots of companies TALK about customer experience, what they want is "money and then no interaction".

Ever wondered why you need the underscore in target="_blank" to open a link in a new tab? Neither did I, but I love random HTML knowledge, so here we are. It has to do with framesets, and the need of a free of frame semantics. Thank you @kyrylo.org kyrylo.org/html/2024/10...

Don’t give up, the beginning is always the hardest.

One of the sad parts for me is the eagerness of some to erase the "bad parts" of history in the US. But every country has things that they've done that are bad. Being able to identify and correct and grow ... that is how a country improves and gets stronger. If you aren't growing, you are dying.

This story can't be repeated enough. The GOP is lined up behind the guy who is so incompetent that his quasi-gov't agency did this. They're confirming his highly questionable nominees & hurting the American people. And "accidentally"? It was stupidity, not accident. www.nbcnews.com/politics/dog...

Trump on DOGE: We’re going to go into Fort Knox to make sure the gold is still there. Just. The. Dumbest. People.

Okay, I do sometimes post over at the bad place, but now every time I do, this popup comes up: "Want more people to see your reply? Subscribe to Premium to have your Replies boosted" Nope, I'm not paying to have more bots see my replies and like it, just not happening. But smells desperate!!

I'm sure "big balls" will be able to whip up an AI agent to lead public health labs in a couple hours. I mean, what could go wrong?

Stop saying this shit!!! They didn't "accidentally" fire anyone; it was done coldly and purposefully; and recklessly. It was only when people started to freak out that they backpedaled and are now trying to re-hire them. It's super incompetence, not an oversight!!

Wow, where have I heard THAT before? No, that didn't happen at Twitter, did it? Yes, yes it did. Just incompetent.

I think the issue is that these layoffs haven't had any impact to people's lives yet. When people get sick, when highways buckle and when grandma's pension check don't show up, then people will get mad, but it may be too late.

What's a couple decimal points ... or THREE ... among friends?
