“Long COVID…may have a hidden biological basis that standard medical tests fail to detect. A groundbreaking study…has uncovered significant lung abnormalities in children & adolescents suffering from long COVID…” scitechdaily.com/new-mri-stud...

⚠️WORST FLU SEASON ever since 2002-2003 when we began to track flu. Worst hit this year are children ages 0-4 and 5-17. ▶️We also have significantly LOWER flu vaccine uptake this year, one of the lowest flu vaccine coverages.

And just out of frame are the calm-mongers and infectious disease minimizers and their media enablers telling everyone that infections are fine.

The US have recovered over 1,000 death from Covid last week, the highest since September 2024. The death toll could be likely higher, given poor testing and surveillance. The pandemic isn't over, Covid isn't "endemic", a "cold", or "mild". It's not over.

A propos of nothing, TB is airborne (just like Covid). If I was in Kansas now I’d be masking indoors, avoiding close contact and crowded places, and filtering my air.

these forever covid people are so annoying..

Hospitals need to be safe places for staff, for patients, and for visitors, with appropriate infection prevention in place... Please do read this petition, it's short and to the point. Perhaps you could sign, support, and share it widely? petition.parliament.uk/petitions/70...

A single case of Clade I mpox has been detected in Ireland, the Health Service Executive has said.

Over 400,000 studies. It's no a cold or flu. It's not mild. Protect yourself and stop spreading it.

The JN.1 variant of SARS-CoV-2 resulted in a major Covid wave a year ago. A new report uncovers T cell immune evasion as a mechanistic basis. We've been preoccupied on neutralizing antibodies, not enough on cell-based immunity to the virus. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

Cövid is not a Pneumonia... It's a vascular inflammatory disease. doi.org/10.1038/s415...

They refuse to say COVID. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

This from the Australian Government today and our brand new CDC. Oh yes. The public will really be taking home air quality seriously when they see hardly anyone in healthcare doing it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Please note that almost 2000 people died from Covid in the US last 2 weeks alone. I presume testing and surveillance is lacking, so the death toll is likely higher. The Covid pandemic isn't over. (data reported from BNO News; my original thread on X/Twitter)

Something that keeps me up at night: The growing global number of people disabled by Covid & how they will be left further deserted as the climate crisis escalates

Tick... Tick... Tick... People will say things like "Infection with seasonal flu may protect against H5N1" (see also common coronaviruses vs. SARS-CoV-2). Even H5N1 infection may not prevent H5N1 reinfection in cows (see also SARS-CoV-2 reinfections in humans). www.nytimes.com/2025/01/27/h...

Do you wonder why you haven’t heard much about this massive TB outbreak recently? Cuz the CDC can’t hold any press conferences or issue public statements of any kind. abcnews.go.com/Health/kansa...

1 in every 4 kids will develop #LongCovid symptoms following Covid infection. It is the result of an analysis of 8373 publications with a total of 80,071 children and adolescents. Anyone denying this cannot be a Health Secretary anywhere. www.nature.com/articles/s41...

New advice from the CDC. Why didn't we think of that 🤦‍♂️

Study based on mouse model reveals that the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2 could remain in the brain long after infection, causing potential neurological issues and accelerated brain aging, thereby contributing to #LongCovid scitechdaily.com/long-covid-b...

@aine-lawlor.bsky.social A very important HSE report came out on 13th December. The HSE FADA Long COVID report. It finds 1 in 6 people have had long Covid. 58.1% have not recovered. Women in 40s are at greatest risk. It hasn't been covered yet on RTE as far as I can see. Why is that Áine?

No one could have foreseen this. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Senior paramedic - “This is the worst I have ever seen it in Irish hospitals. The place is overrun with people suffering from coughs, colds, the flu, Covid and respiratory issues. “My advice to people is just try and not get sick in this country at the moment." www.thesun.ie/health/14456...

No doubt about it Bernard. What if immunity debt isn't actually a real thing at all and it's actually Covid which is increasing susceptibility to other pathogens? www.thejournal.ie/over-1000-in...

There's a new push for a public campaign on improving indoor air quality, including to keep kids safe from airborne pathogens in classrooms Dr Bronwyn King, a special advisor on clean air at the Burnet Institute, spoke to 6 News − WATCH HERE: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQla...

“Clean air is a vital line of defense against illness.” So true. Thanks to Gillian Neimark for this detailed article. Great to see comments by @lieslmcconchie.bsky.social & mention of the #CorsiRosenthalFoundation. thesicktimes.org/2024/12/24/i...

🎄Happy holidays from Ernie, Bert & me. Bert is not pictured because she would not cooperate and I respect that. I am nervous about what’s to come next year but I believe in the power of community and we will continue to protect and care for each other

COVID is not over.
