A 2019 Pentagon study found that over 2/3 of the US military’s “operationally critical installation” are threatened by climate change (eg higher risk of flooding or wildfires). Can’t keep a coastal base above water by pretending the oceans aren’t rising, nor protect a base from fire by ignoring it.
