“They’re trying to undermine the foundations for doing any kind of regulation"...reports on chemicals’ toxicity are the first step in the long process of creating legal protections from toxic pollutants in air and water...“If you get rid of step one, you’re totally in the dark." @propublica.org

Fucking genius. Wow so simple.

"“eight million dollars for making mice transgender. this is real.” no, no, no, no. nobody is spending government money to make mice transgender. you low-wattage dolt. the word is transgenic."

Today's RepubliKKKan strategy: hiding from their constituents.

This is absolutely unhinged, even for Trump. He’s going to tank the entire economy.

"... in 2022, US farmers exported $179 billion worth of food to other countries — and there’s no figuring it the fuck out on turning around and selling those goods right here in America, because farms are already producing more food than Americans can consume."

"Federal workers and union officials told CNN they see this as part of an attempt by the Trump administration to make life uncomfortable for federal workers in hopes that some will quit."

Who needs weather forecasts, anyway? You'll know the tornado is coming soon enough. You won't have any advance warning, so you won't be in a safe spot, but that's not Musk's problem - that's a *you* problem.

"...a DOGE engineer emailed staff and said they were not allowed to review the programs they were canceling."

There it is. Literally saying the US and Russia are working together to take away the independence of another country. I'm wondering if any of our press is gonna pick this one up? Seems like headline material?

I've seen this show before. The suits "cut costs" by paying consultants more than the wage/befit costs of an employee, resulting in more money to do the same work. The goal is not to cut government spending, it's to privatize government spending.

If you've never been part of a government procurement process, it might be hard to understand just how much of a "go to prison" thing this would have been at any point from 1946-2024.

So we're a Russian client state now.

“I’m gonna berate and bully the leader of a warn-torn democratic ally for all the world to see because my daddy Vladdy told me to, but first let me put on these fifty-three layers of cake makeup so all the drag queen hating MAGA Incels who jerk off to my face know I’m a manly man.” - this fucker

“President Donald Trump ambushed Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky in an attack that seemed designed to give the White House an excuse for siding with Russia in its war on Ukraine.”

It’s blindingly obvious that Tя☭mp is on Putin’s payroll. And cowardly assholes like Lindsey Graham are perfectly okay with that.

"...usually the government works to suppress measles, as well as other contagious diseases. It’s not clear the Trump administration intends to do that. "

How long until President Musk pardons this Nazi?

It takes 6 months to prep and manufacture the flu shot - if the vaccine committee doesn't meet soon, then there won't be a flu vaccine in time for this year's flu season. Not that RFK, Jr. cares if people die.

"why is the Space Nazi running a cabinet meeting? why is he even in the room? nobody voted for this guy. he has no constitutional authority to commit any of the clownfuckery he’s perpetrating — and yet somehow he’s become the most powerful person in government."

"EPA administrator Lee Zeldin, acting on yet another of Trump’s first-day executive orders, “has privately urged the White House to strike down a scientific finding underpinning much of the federal government’s push to combat climate change, according to three people briefed on the matter,”

A child is dead from measles.

Texas child dies in measles outbreak, first U.S. fatality in years

“.. There is a lot more anger building .. “.. when they try to defend Elon Musk they will get aggressive booing. You couldn’t manufacture this if you tried.” @washingtonpost.com www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

"Mistake."

House Rs just passed the budget resolution, the first step in their process to enact a bill that'd kick millions off Medicaid & cut SNAP down to just $1.60 per person per meal on avg while cutting taxes for the top 0.1% by $278k - all while increasing the debt 🧵on what's to come and WHERE TO FIGHT

Trump just posted an AI video depicting the Gaza Strip as 'Trump Gaza.' Here are some screenshots.

What a coincidence!

"... it has the potential to disenfranchise more than a hundred million voters... it requires proof-of-citizenship documents to be presented in person. While it doesn’t directly decree that, say, married women who have changed their names can’t vote, it does disproportionately punish them..."

"More than 20 civil service employees resigned Tuesday from billionaire Trump adviser Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, saying they were refusing to use their technical expertise to “dismantle critical public services.”"

DOGE is a bull in a china shop - except it's fire bombing the china shop and telling everyone it was just full of fake stuff so it's totally ok.

"it was super fucking satisfying to watch French President Emmanuel Macron call out Donny on his bullshit, on live TV."

"During Friday’s Wyoming Senate ... committee meeting, Britt Boril joined the meeting via video and addressed French as “Madam Chairman.” When French told Boril to call him “Mister Chairman,” Boril responded that she “cannot be compelled to use” his preferred pronouns."

Fucking MAGA Nazis.

"... as the industry was ailing and companies were losing money, executives distributed $680 million in dividends to shareholders while diverting billions more to affiliate companies... most Florida-based insurers were removing so much money from their companies that they violated state regulations"

"Permanent standard time is “undeniably” the best option for our health, ...Having more of that light exposure at those earlier times is essentially better for our body’s rhythms than, you know, the opposite with daylight savings and having the evening light exposure...”

The Deputy Director of the FBI

"The current outbreak is unlikely to end without intervention and needs close attention from the Trump administration to prevent the virus from wreaking more havoc." Because Tя☭mp handled the last pandemic so well.

"Something is shifting...They are still breaking things and stealing things. And they will keep trying to break and to steal. ... People are starting to realize that there is no truth here beyond the desire for personal wealth and power.”

Hegseth says firing of top military lawyers was about making sure "they don't exist to be roadblocks to anything that happens."
