Tiktok just made their advertising system more aggressive. Used to be able to disable advertisers and the system wouldn't refresh new ones for a month, now I disable them and 3 new ones pop up in their place. Currently trying to train my app to associate serving me an ad with me closing the app lol

Oh, discord wants to update, that's annoying ah well "yay -Syu" >gcc13 >dont realise it builds from source >spends hours running unit tests >can't even play a game because something else in the update needs a system reboot to work properly >dont want to ctrl-c out of it because updates r scary >😭

OCT (On Company Time) has managed to have every single song they've released be a banger that I cannot remove from my brain

My completely not half baked and totally serious ranking of recent doctor who. I guess. Just a bit of fun. ISC's a weird one, I'd put it in both eyy and ugh if i could.

I just don't understand how you can drop THE RANI on us, tell us she's bringing back OMEGA, and then turn Omega into a giant emaciated zombie who eats the Rani and then gets shot by the Doctor's plot-device-of-the-season-turned-gun, all while claiming this era is a jumping on point

Mel and the Rani bitching at each other was by far the best part of this week's Doctor Who. Bonnie Langford knew EXACTLY how over the top to go.

Poor Varada Sethu getting deeply mistreated by both Star Wars Andor AND Doctor Who within a few weeks of each other…

Uhhh. It did not pull through. Someone pry Doctor Who out of RTD's mitts, quick, before the BBC cans it, again.

Occult Crescent in Final Fantasy XIV is interesting. I certainly don't love the mad rush between FATEs and the oops you were too slow and the boss melted in 5 seconds better luck next time stuff. What happened to pull timers? I can't believe I'm saying I miss Eureka

While I have a few standard "RTD has completely abandoned subtlety and this is having a detrimental effect on the quality of the stories" complaints, I tentatively will say I mostly enjoyed that episode. I did, however, say the exact same thing about TLoRS so we'll see if The Reality War pulls thru

I'm not that surprised that it's being divisive, but that episode felt like "a good episode of Doctor Who" in a way I haven’t felt for a while now

I'm not gonna lie and pretend I understand quite how the local elections work compared to the general elections, but the sheer volume of Reform is horrifying.

The Frozen arc in Once Upon A Time was good, actually.

I don't like not liking Doctor Who. I really don't like not liking Doctor Who when it seems everyone else is loving it. But, that episode? I don't NOT like it.

I'm seeing people opine on the fan scene in the new Doctor Who and that none of them claimed Heaven Sent as their favourite – when faced with an immortal time traveller whom you idolise, maybe bringing up one of their darkest moments is not the best of ideas

trying to gauge public opinion on an episode of Black Mirror by typing it into ddg is like pulling teeth because every single fucking article is an "ending explained" piece. I don't need the ending explained to me, the ending is self fucking evident from fucking watching the damn thing.

I think tiktok is just eating my comments without even giving me community guidelines violation notifications. Which is fun

"...take me to the stars" well she's about to die oh wow that was fast. "Every ninth word" well that limitation didn't matter except for when it did. Ugh I would like Doctor Who to have the budget of a packet of crisps again and fresh new writers pleaaaase

Sometimes when I look at talk pages on the TARDIS wiki I have to restrain myself from replying things like "oooooh the girlies are fighting" because that is decidedly *not* what the talk pages are for. Still fun to read tho.

I need a FFXIV spreadsheet nerd to tell me if the Pictomancer changes have made using Motifs a DPS loss, because that would be hilarious if true

Out of a sense of vain curiousity I just had a quick look at the fallout who Vegas mod discord to see if my little passion project on the independent fallout wiki was noticed. It got a "fucking hell". Perfect.

Watching The Dalek Invasion of Earth for the first time. Wondering what the "VETOED" signs plastered around future London are - are they a bit of world-building? The 22nd century English government did a thing that was vetoed in the lead-up to the invasion? Nope, it's an in-joke by production. lol.

Im having a look back on the hatchetfield trilogy and realising that.... I don't really like Black Friday or Nerdy Prudes Must Die all that much. TGWDLM has maybe 3 songs I don't care for and the rest of the soundtrack I adore, whereas BF and NPMD I have maybe 5 songs i like *between them*.

Every time a new Pokémon game enters the hype cycle in recent years the same conversation gets trotted out, and both big talking points about the ever loving shit out of me. Yes, Z-A looks a bit mid, visually. It's a Pokémon game, no surprises there. Looks better than SV did so far...

i hate how internet platforms have normalized self-censorship. "fugg" "seggs" "ahh" fuck you. grow up. swear. fuck you.

I just read the pitch for the not made Assimilation² (Doctor Who/Star Trek crossover comic) sequel, and it sounds fucking great. Why can't we have nice things?
