Cecil Fielder hit 51 HRs in 1990 Prince Fielder hit 50 HRs in 2007 (17 years later) Sadly no Fielder hit 49 HRs in 2024 to continue this trend.

Most world series winners don't try and improve is how i'm reading this. Rangers added Seagers, Siemens, Gray, Eovaldi, Degrom with big contracts before winning it all and kinda just stopped pushing the needle.

Corbin Carroll had an interesting power rise in the second half of 24. First half he hit 5 HRs in 353 ABs or 1 every 70.6 ABs Second half he hit 17 HRs in 236 ABs or 1 every 13.9 ABs Not a coincidence the diamondbacks went from a .505 win% in the first half to a .615 win% in the second.

Signing Christian Walker to a 3 year deal @ 20 aav feels weird when Goldschmidt could be had for less on a one year deal. Christian Walker last 3 seasons is a 120 OPS+ batter with little variance Goldschmidt is a 130 OPS batter the last 3 years, but with a lot of variance.
