Got two stories up from Brad Marchand’s introductory #FlaPanthers presser up on the site — check them out at PucksAndPalms.com

Lots of coverage of the Seth Jones trade — and Matthew Tkachuk to LTIR — on PucksAndPalms.com. @mattsmusings1.bsky.social and I recorded a podcast, we’ve got a few subscriber-exclusive stories up. Great time to support some independent #FlaPanthers coverage.

The Seth Jones trade calls for an emergency Pucks and Palms Podcast with @colbydguy.pucksandpalms.com, and there's a lot to dig into. Spotify: open.spotify.com/episode/1Tym... Apple Podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/p...

A new Pucks and Palms Podcast with @colbydguy.pucksandpalms.com and myself is out talking the last week with the Florida Panthers and more! Tune in here: Apple: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/p...

#FlaPanthers forward lines in rushes: Verhaeghe — Barkov — Tkachuk Luostarinen — Lundell — Reinhart Balinskis/A.Boqvist — Rodrigues — Samoskevich Greer — Nosek — Gadjovich

Both Sam Bennett (illness) and Jesper Boqvist (undisclosed injury) are not on the ice at #FlaPanthers morning skate. It *is* an optional, but it’s also not a good sign for their status for tonight’s game vs. the #STLBlues.

My takeaways from last night’s 6-1 Panthers win over the Minnesota Wild: pucksandpalms.com/p/takeaways-...

The Florida Panthers could be without their two best centers when they take on the #mnwild tonight. Sam Bennett is confirmed to be out and Aleksander Barkov’s status is still up in the air due to an illness that has been going around the locker room.

Whether Aleksander Barkov returns from his illness or not tonight against the #mnwild, the Florida Panthers have found some line combinations they like.

Hart Trophy front runners Kirill Kaprizov and Sam Reinhart will take center stage as the #FlaPanthers take on the #mnwild tonight on TNT.

A new episode of the Pucks and Palms Podcast is here. @MattsMusings1 and I had a loaded docket this week; talking Stanley Cup Final rematch, the #FlaPanthers and #TBLightning rivalry, and more. Find it on your preferred platform below:

When the Edmonton Oilers opened up the game in the second period, the Florida Panthers did not let it turn into a track meet. They did what they do best and continue to grind down the Oilers on the forecheck before completing a three-goal comeback.

The Florida Panthers survived a rollercoaster of a Stanley Cup Final rematch and defeated the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 last night. MY TAKEAWAYS:

Final: Panthers 6, Oilers 5. Florida survives a horrific start to the second period and snaps a two-game skid. Wild game.

Carter Verhaeghe gives the Panthers the lead with 6:55 to go. He was wide open in the slot and he made the Oilers pay.

Matthias Janmark taps home a wacky bounce and ties this thing up with 11:58 to go. We’ve got a wild one.

Niko Mikkola ties the game up with 13:07 to go. He finishes of a slick feed from Anton Lundell while there was a meeting of the minds in the neutral zone. pucksandpalms.com/p/niko-mikko...

No goal on that 48-second power play to start the third. Darnell Nurse had a chance at a breakaway right out of the box, but he fell down

Zach Hyman is back on the Edmonton bench with a face shield on to start the third period after taking a hard slap shot to the face from a teammate. Warrior.

After 2: Oilers 4, Panthers 3 — SOG: 20-18 EDM Florida will have 48 seconds of power play time to start the third

Gustav Forsling makes it 4-3 with 2-05 to go in the second period. Shot from the point trickles in off the post, off Ty Emberson’s back and over Skinner’s shoulder.

The Panthers ended a 10-minute long shot drought with 9:42 to go in the second period. Anton Lundell had their first shot of the period 18 seconds in, they did not get another one (and allowed three goals) before Gustav Forsling blasted a one-timer into Stuart Skinner’s glove.

Leon Draisaitl beats Sergei Bobrovsky with a sharp-angle shot via a blast of a one-timer. Panthers now trail 4-2 near the midway point of the second period. Rough game for Bob, to say the least.

Another Oilers goal — Connor Brown with a one-timer that snuck past Sergei Bobrovsky. 3-2.

Another goal against off the rush. It’s Zach Hyman again, this time on a breakaway. Lots of guys late getting back and Connor McDavid pokes it to Hyman who had nobody contesting him. 2-2.

Stuart Skinner was a bit shaken up after getting clipped with a high-stick from Jonah Gadjovich 3:10 into the second period. Nothing called on that play, but he is OK. Dmitry Kulikov took a tripping penalty less than a minute later, so the Panthers are now headed to the PK.

Per @goldieonice.bsky.social, Evan Rodrigues is not on the Panthers bench to start the second period.

After 1: Panthers 2, Oilers 1 — SOG: 10-9 Electronic Dance Music

Matthew Tkachuk gives the Panthers the lead back by deflecting a Carter Verhaeghe shot on the power play. 2-1 Florida with 27.1 seconds to go in the first.

Zach Hyman gets left wide open in the slot off the rush and he makes the Panthers pay. 1-1 with 4:47 to go in the first period.

The Panthers penalty kill only lasted six seconds. Right off the face-off following Boqvist’s goal, Evan Bouchard takes a tripping penalty.

Jesper Boqvist scores on a shorthanded breakaway 2:42 into the game to put the Panthers up 1-0. The shutout streak is over.

Hockey is happening in Edmonton. Aleksander Barkov is out for the second-straight game with an illness.

The Florida Panthers know exactly what they are going up against tonight in a Stanley Cup Final rematch. After all, they were on the other side of it a year ago. But they also want to remain focused on the task at hand — getting themselves back on track.

The Florida Panthers return to Edmonton for the first time since Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final for a rematch with the Oilers. Here’s everything you need to know:

You guys asked, I answered. Check out this month’s edition of the Pucks and Palms #FlaPanthers mailbag.

Still need a couple more questions for my #FlaPanthers mailbag tomorrow. Drop them in the replies before 7 p.m. and I’ll get to them in an article tomorrow.

My takeaways from last night’s 3-0 Panthers loss to the Calgary Flames:

Panthers lose 3-0. Back-to-back shutouts.

Mikael Backlund beats Spencer Knight high glove-side 6:17 into the third to make it 3-0. He might want that one back.

Sam Bennett stopped on a breakaway 4:55 into the third. Dustin Wolf covered the puck up before Matthew Tkachuk could get to the loose change.

Third period (and that penalty kill) are underway. One silver lining for the Panthers here: The Leafs lost to the Red Wings tonight, so they’ll still be tied for first in the Atlantic if the score holds.

The Panthers scored their last goal with 1:01 to go in the second period in Tuesday night’s 2-1 shootout win over the Seattle Kraken. They have not scored in the 126:01 since. And that was their only goal (save for the shootout) on this entire three-game road trip so far.

After 2: Flames 2, Panthers 0 — SOG: 22-14 FLA Calgary will have a full two-minute power play to start the third.

It’s 2-0 Flames, for real, with 54.7 seconds to go in the second period. Kulikov gets caught pinching and Blake Coleman beats Knight with a wrist shot off the rush.

Evan Rodrigues lost his edge and took a spill right into Joel Hanley’s legs. Hanley is being helped off the ice by a trainer.

No goal. Puck was, indeed, kicked.

Mikael Backlund steered in a rebound off his skate — looked dangerously close to a kick, but we’ll see. 2-0 Flames, for now, with 8:26 to go in the second period.
